  1. The ten or so we signed last season. Not the one we have signed so far this year. With maybe one or two more in Jan. Last year was stupid. This year, it’s not.
  2. It would of worked last season if he’d stuck to Duck, Miombe, and nepo. They were all decent last season. The import policy works if it’s not to many at the same time, and obviously- like any signing, they’re decent. But if there not, it’s because there from the French 4th division or our it’s policy, it’s because they’re shit- and we move on. If it’s handled right, I see it as a big plus for us.
  3. Which is exactly my point Andy. He flooded it. Bad mistake. This season. Missilou- decent. Nepo and Maouche have both improved from last season. Thats 3 players all contributing, all playing well. How is it that bad?
  4. Hang on. Your denying whats in front of you. Are maouche, missilou, nepo playing well on the whole? Have they improved? The answer is yes. Some work, some don’t. Like every other club. An like every other club you just can’t flood- then you get what happened last season.
  5. I think if AL had taken the same route last season as he has this, I’m pretty certain we would of been fine. Point being, flood any side with lots of different languages and cultures, and it takes a lot longer for them to gel/assimilate. Add one or two as we have this season and it’s absolutely fine. Its just about balance. Not either or.
  6. I mean the Simon Grayson who’s had multiple promotions from league one, spent several seasons in the championship, and left Bradford of his own accord- mostly likely because he realised they didn’t have a pot to piss in. Don’t get me wrong, it’s throughly depressing that we can’t near Grayson. However the reality is that with his CV, our budget and owner the chances of him coming are zero.
  7. I think we can safely safe, we won’t get anywhere near the Calibre of Grayson. It’s either a league two manager or below IMO. Someone who can look past AL and see it as opportunity to make a name for themselves. (Askey fits the bill perfectly) Anyone with any credibility above us will wait for a better opportunity IMO.
  8. Yeah maybe, although to be fair to AL you expect players to be professional when the bid doesn’t suit the club. He threw his toys out, and didn’t really put a shift in after Jan. Cheers Craig. All the best.
  9. That’s the second time a bid has been reported to have been turned down. Good to see us/AL holding out for a decent return on our players.
  10. This is how I see it. I’d like a more experienced manager. But while we’re winning and we make no appointment, it becomes obvious he’ll give it to Wild. The only thing that make him reticent, is if he still feels burnt by appointing Wellens. I suspect we’ll just to do whatever is cheapest. We usually do.
  11. I REMEMBER NOW YOU PUT IN BIG LETTERS. It was tongue in cheek, hence the elipsies. The reality is he probably will get the gig if we don’t appoint someone and he keeps winning.
  12. ITS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH THINGS LIKE ATTENDANCE MONEY AND BUDGETS DAVE. OUR SQUAD SHOULD BE TOP OF THE LEAGUE. . . . Ive had to put like it that, as it seems people have to use block capitals to make a point. SO I THOUGHT ID GIVE IT A GO.
  13. No, the spaces make it easier for me to read what I’ve written. Fair enough, you don’t rate Bunn. But your convienantly not answering the main point. What should the expectation of any manager be this season- given that it’s common knowledge we have a reduced budget? Did you/do you expect promotion on a reduced budget?
  14. What do you expect at the start of the season Mike? Who in the squad makes you think they’re underperforming? Id say, we’re getting the best from them the majority of the time. Their best is currently 11th. Bunn and AL said themselves the days of big spending are over. AL said he wants more for his money. It’s common knowledge we have reduced budget, and lower EFL contributions. Do you think we have top 3 budget? A top 7 budget? I don’t and the squad proves it. We are two injuries from playing kids, how can the squad be anything but threadbare- by that I mean 14/15 you could rely on.
  15. What are you talking about? ‘I have a club to support’ Whats that got to do with anything I’ve said? He doesn’t deserve a medal. He’s a grown man, who chose to spend his money. Good luck to him. If no one comes forward- we fold. Sad, but there’s far more important things in life than latics. Back on topic. Im talking specifically about one minute he wants to build slowly. Then next he’s sacking his manger after one awful result. Which is it? Slow progression. Or Knee jerk reaction. It would just be nice if he didn’t come out with load of talk, then make decsions to contrary.
  16. How do you mean- ‘it’s as far as his money stretches?’ Maybe he didn’t expect to be in league two, so he’s had to cut his cloth. No problem. So why sack rookie who’s doing ok with a reduced wage bill? Sacking him brings additional cost. Is AL skint or not? He’s acting like he’s thrown loads of money at this season, and Bunn has really underachieved. . . But he hasn’t. The squad is threadbare, and lacks quality. His own ‘plan’ is very contradictory.
  17. Like I said, AL has made some good calls. Sacking Wellens was the right call. Getting rid of the ‘characters’ I agree with. I also thing your bang on with Corney, I think he liked being mates with them all. I get the sense AL doesn’t give a toss and just wants results, which is a good thing IMO. I dont even mind if he’s gone in the dressing room after Carlisle. I do have an issue if he went in after Exeter. But he’s a total contradiction. One minute, he’s slashing the wage bill, and doing interviews saying- ‘we need to get more for our money’ and he wants to build the club slowly slowly- ok fine. So he appoints a rookie manager, with a reduced wage bill. Then gets upset and sacks him when he’s not achieved what he wants- ie top 6. That’s totally deluded. Is it slowly slowly or quickly quickly?
  18. Come on Kow. Bring some balance. There’s an awful lot of stories coming out of the club, that he’s very interfering/authocratic. Now either everybody who has come into contact with him is wrong, or there is some substance to what they are saying. We have issues, some he’s helped with. Other he hasn’t. It does feel that we would get were AL wants more quickly, quickly. If he calmed down.
  19. That’s a very good point. If you come into latics, and take us up, but get the sack for finishing second. Your hardly gonna struggle for another job are you. Equally everyone in football knows your working for a very erratic owner. So are more inclined to give you another shot. Were becoimg the free pass that leeds job was/is. ‘Ah, can’t judge x on the latics job. Owner is a nutter’
  20. Surridge and Millar to go. New striker, centre half, and right winger please.
  21. Big performance and result after Boxing Day. Pleased for Wild. All this talk of x amount of points of playoffs/automatic. . That was the case before the game! Because up until recently we’d been on a great run under Frankie, he had us nicely poised. Still gutted for him. But onwards and upwards. .. . . Hopefully.
