  1. I think a wide man is a good shout. Centre midfield seems to have settled, missilo and Maouche look like they could be forming a nice partnership, Lyden to come in if necessary. I’d like another centre half, keep George on his toes, and cover in case Clarke get injured. As you say, I think it will only be 2, 3 max. Just to maintain the spirit.
  2. It is, but one or two injuries and we look threadbare again. Where would you strengthen in Jan?
  3. I think what is clear, is that footballers who are used to getting there own way. Don’t like it when they meet someone who likes getting his own way. AL’s combativtiness is only against people who have previous for being a nuisance. Don’t see him wanting to sack Clarke. . . As someone alluded to earlier, say what you want about AL, but the atmosphere since we got rid of the ‘characters’ has vastly improved. He deserves credit for that.
  4. Definitely. You get one chance against the big boys. Usually when your playing at home.
  5. We had a fourth replay against Everton didn’t we? Wasn’t Sutton back in the 80’s when they beat Cov? Dale is a good example last year. I’m not saying it doesn’t ever happen. I just don’t think it’s a calamity for our level. There’s others area’s we should be asking for more money- academies and solidarity payments are the two obvious ones.
  6. Potentially. . Your example is a good one, and I don’t disagree. I also think the overall distribution of wealth in the game is a joke- particularly through the academies. However on this partcular point I think it makes overall common sense. The decision isn’t just about the rare or very infrequent lost income for league one and two, there is fixture congestion in all leagues. The championship and prem are quite rightly allowed a say on that. If in Jan/Feb we are doing well, do we want a replay that saps our league form? I personally like the idea of having a prem side at BP in round 5 where there must a be winner. If your at that stage, you’ve already made a good few quid. I’d rather that, than a heroic draw which gives you an energy sapping replay. Which the underdog never wins, and very often affects league form. The cup is nice, and financially good. (This won’t change that dramatically) The league is what matters IMO.
  7. I agree with your over all point, but I wonder how many league one and two sides, have gone through on a 5th round replay in the last 20 years? Hardly any. This will have little impact to small clubs IMO. However, if it moves further to round three, then that is a pisstake.
  8. They’ll come again. Maybe sooner than you think.
  9. There’s miracles- and then there’s a resurgent Coke.
  10. Kow- We know you spotted him before anybody else. We get it. No really. We get it. Well done you. Can we move on from your ownership of his ability? We’re all pleased he’s doing well, good luck to him.
  11. Tell you what. Winning in league two, is far preferable to losing in league one.
  12. I know. We’ve really struggled for goals this season. .
  13. Bunn like any manager needs results, he’s doing ok- long may it continue.
