  1. Your right. . we were in with a shout. Then he sacked Bunn (not before sacking Rhodes) We can argue the toss about the quality of football, but we were up there. We never got near the top six after Bunn left. His decisions. His appointments. His club. Wether he’s a nice man is moot to extent, because if we were top of the league a lot of the noise would go away. But we’re not, and we don’t look like getting anywhere near it. We may sign a couple more granted, but then Banny looks lost to me. . . Another AL decision. Nobody is excitedly predicting doom for a laugh. It’s killing all of us. Hence why I quoted you earlier- You seem quite upbeat/hopeful about what’s on the pitch, and I can’t see where your getting your optimism. Suspect squad as it stands. Very Suspect manager. Divided club/fan base. None of it says club on the way back up.
  2. I don’t where your coming from. I know your not stupid, or on the wind up. I think you genuinely believe what your saying Which is even more bizarre. IF he isn’t interfering, (we’ll have to agree to disagree there. ) Are you confident in our direction under AL? You don’t like people talking about AL in 17/18 because although he was here, you claim that was a mirage and It must of been Corney who paid for menig and Omrani and the rest that season. Flooding the squad with the #frenchlads had a massive impact on us going down IMO. So let’s talk about last season. 3 managers Finished 14th. What is acceptable to you this season, and do you honestly think we’ll achieve it under AL? I want to go up. I think we’ll finish in the bottom half again. Take away all the stuff that people say about him, the results and direction on his watch are only going one way. At what point does our slide start to alarm you?
  3. Tell your mate to take his head out of arse, and then he wouldn’t need to ask silly questions. .
  4. Some of my best and most fleeting moments have been in the box.
  5. But we will snipe Lukers. Not at each other. But at the club. I’ll take that at the first meeting, to get it off our chest. But at the end of the meeting, I’d want to know what we are doing.
  6. Spot on mate. Can’t be arsed with it. Action. . I can be arsed with
  7. I would be up for it. But we must not turn into a moaning ineffectual group. I would start with a protest. . And I am not a 17 year old piss head. I’m a 37 year old father of two. I want to DO something, not talk about it. . I get enough of that on here.
  8. It’s telling that nobody really analyses the game anymore. What’s the point? It’s going to get a lot worse, before it gets better. But it will. If there is one silver lining it’s the fact that a lot people still really care about the club. We’ll be reet. Eventually.
  9. Mmm. Good call. Ah well. The usual purgatory awaits.
  10. What I think he’ll play. Woods mills Iacovitti Hamer wheater sylla missilou branger nepo Maouche Wilson Hopefully it’s a good game. .
  11. You seem upset? My reply was definitely for you. That’s why I quoted you. I thought you wanted to debate? If you can’t keep up with threads then probably best not to post.
  12. Good effort. The conversation was allocation of budget. I was making a point about where our playing budget tends to go. You then got personal by implying I couldn’t remember a player from last season. Who mentioned anything about me being forgetful? You misjudged me and saw it through the very narrow prism that every conversation is a dig about A/L. It’s a shame you can’t see past that. The pedigree and coup but are very relevant because we’re not talking about wether we rate Surridge. We’re talking about the allocation of budget. ( In case you can’t remember. . .) We paid a fee Porter. Kuqi played all his career in the two top divisions. Hughes, (while a gamble with his past) had played at the top level. All our players. Who will have been our top earner or close to. If you want to compare that investment in the team to a kid who’s only league experience was on loan at Yeovil . . . then go nuts.
  13. I remember a kid on loan, who wouldn’t have cost the earth. He played really well for 3 months, then got injured. He didn’t have a pedigree, and it certainly wasn’t seen as a coup at the time of signing for us. But if you wanna play with yourself over the mighty Surridge, then crack on son.
  14. Yep. To be fair. Corney did pull a few out of the bag- Porter, Beckett, Hughes, Kuqi Seems ages since we had one, never kind two quality strikers.
  15. Spot on. Two good strikers forgives a lot of shite behind it. It doesn’t work the other way round.
  16. Good post. Lang was at the game last night, I think there’s a good chance he’ll sign. Once the squad settles and people get fit, a starting 11 of- Woods mills wheater hamer smith-brown sylla missilou eagles branger nepo wilson/lang I genuinely don’t think that’s to bad, granted it’s not top 3 material. But it’s s damn sight better than it looked two weeks ago.
  17. Question. IF Lang joins tomorrow, and possibly one more. Do you people think this squad has a bit about it? Or are we still thinking bottom half?
  18. I’d prefer a decent striker. (Agree we definitely need it)
