An option. So maybe there is more than one.

No, there is only one option to extend for 12 months. He can go on a free, and if he does Porter, the club will get nowt.

Chron seems to think that club is likely to sell Trotter, reputedly for £350k, worth up to £500k based on appearances, with a hefty sell-on clause no doubt. Surely we can't match personal terms Argyle is prepared to offer, and it's a step up for the lad. Whether he gets much first team action remains to be seen, but there is every incentive for the young man to prove himself at higher level. Best of luck to him if he goes.

V Good prospect, however £350K, potentially £500k is a heck of a lot of money to turn down for a player with only 20 lge games under his belt.

Sad to see him go, but good business imo!

For those of us old enough to remember echoes of Mike Flynn's move to top-flight Norwich in late 1988 (not that long after they'd signed Andy Linighan). Flynny Only played a handful of games for us, very dangerous at set-pieces and like trotters was as strong as an ox. Went on to have a great lower league career. Flynny's replacement......................one Andy Holden. Holden was signed for 50k half the of the £100k Norwich paid. So it is possible to sell players AND still improve yer squad.

PS Well done Shez decent signing in Jarrett was a cracking player at Bury and Wigan, hope the move is a success for both the club and player. Now just need that striker..........
