razza699
he must have a bad attitude to keep getting the push! Personally I would have him back however I know alot of people wouldnt, also he keeps getting sacked for some reason.
ghostofcecere
I would have him back, I still think he's a decent manager. Maybe after getting the chop a few times now he might have a slightly less inflated opinion of himself too........

leeslover
Chatting about this in the office, we’ve realised that Palace and Oldham are the only clubs he hasn’t been sacked from as manager. And of us two, Jordan took him to the cleaners through the courts, and he failed in his effort to sue us when we asked for his company car back. Have him back? No thanks. leeslover
I'd have him back no danger. He didn’t even achieve anything more with us than Shez has, and that was with far more resources. His promotion with Palace is his only real achievement as a manager. I’m amazed that he was even considered for the QPR job, but he’s one of the media friendly club who keep getting appointed to positions beyond their ability. GlossopLatic
I'm a believer that once youve gone don't go back Mark Allot is the exception to this rule. Dowie has now had 5 clubs in a 6 year managerial career if he came and did well he would be back touting himself about looking for another club he really should have stopped at Palace he had it good there. longtimeblue
As far as his managerial capabilities go I'd have no problems with him, He'd need to win me round though due to the way he packed up.. Wouldn't swap Sheridan though

In terms of the football played the side we had when we missed out under Dowie was a better side than lost in the plat-offs under Sheridan, we deserved to go up that year, Sheridan though as done more on a limited budget and this side could do better than Dowies

RoytonBlueLad
Nah. Off the pitch away from football he seems a nice chap but he's done some daft things in his few years as a gaffer. Always seems very ambitious and determined. Thing is the jobs he applies (and usually gets) for always seem to have massive expectations placed upon them. Now I know all clubs have them, every manager does but he seems a specialist in picking them out. Then getting sacked. garcon
Although I've always rated Dowie as a coach, he clearly finds it impossible to work with people, and equally impossible not to burn his bridges on departure. Whether any of us would have him back is irrelevant - I know damn well TTA wouldn't.
kellysheroes
why would we want him back LEFT US WHEN TIMES WENT BAD GOT THE SACK TWICE LEAVES A NUMBER OF CLUBS obviously doesnt get along with other people!!!! SHEZ ALL THE WAY

I agree he did have qualities about him, like getting the players to be mentally strong and making us hard to beat, but like you say it would never happen

That really is saying something in view of your thoughts on the cardboard cut-out that is Freddy Boswell! Trust me he would be the last option before Judas, but he would be welcome back if those two were the only options. How anyone would want the man who tried to sue our club (which was on its' knees at the time) back at BP defies belief. KtF, Derek.
