LaticsLee
thats pretty good thinking even though we wont win it.
Lags
as a ST holder who will renew in any case, it's a win win for me
steveoafc
For anyone who purchases a season ticket anyway it's a free bet so a good deal, nice idea to attract others too. On a side note, would offering half price season tickets for our first season in the new ground be productive? Get people interested in us early, or would the pull of a new ground be sufficient anyway?
Frankly Mr Shankly
That'll just make that quarter final exit on penalties that little bit more painful.
Oh Heck C-Beck
Dare I say it this may persuade me to buy a season ticket again!!! Is there any others thinking the same? Have they finally stumbled upon a great marketing ploy?
leeslover
I presume Marketing Guy has been consulting with Blue Pizza and has got some special odds at William Hill that make this a guaranteed win for Latics either way?
singe
I presume Marketing Guy has been consulting with Blue Pizza and has got some special odds at William Hill that make this a guaranteed win for Latics either way? Me no sure. Even if Blue Pizza gave them 8/1 rather than the 6/1 ish they are, then that would mean they or Guy Marketing Guy would have to put a bet on for £125,000, and that is quarter of the tram stop. I like this incentive. If the club put around £50 of each season ticket on England to win the world cup at 6to1 then they see a return of £350 (the cost of this years season ticket) The question is will the price of the season ticket increase by this figure Edited February 12, 2010 by NIKI1234
MaskedOwl
I think this is a brilliant idea! Well done.

Lookers_Carl
Ok so if England do win the world cup, where will the season ticket revenue come from? PS: This is not a snipe at the offer, I am just very intrigued!!!
Alec1954
If the cost of season tickets are dropped to about £5 I may renew.

PS: This is not a snipe at the offer, I am just very intrigued!!! I was thinking the same, no income from season tickets = sale of an asset if we had one to sell. But i would love it if England won the World Cup and at least there is somebody at BP starting to use there noggin

Oafc88
Great idea! creates a bit of interest in the club, bit of free publicity in the national news about it (i imagine were the only club doing this?) and for me personally il be renewing anyway and as others have said, its a free bet! garcon
I think it's a great idea. But can you imagine how twitchy Simon Blitz's sphincter will be if England make the final?

But taking the idea further a trip to the States could do it. I do ponder why we don;t have more mobile phone offers/promotions.
