garcon
Could the same not be said of just about any assistant manager? Come on, surely there's enough to moan about without inventing it.
Senor_Coconut
This gets brought up all the time, what does Tommy Wright do, what does John Breckin.
Crusoe
And why do shops and businesses have assistant managers? Two minds and two salaries — hmm.

Crusoe
I'm inclined to think there might be something useful they do, since every other club has one. But hey, what do they know.

singe
Why have one then? Ahh, the post of the person desperate for someone to blame. He's the bad cop to Penney's good cop, or he is the good cop to Penney's bad cop
razza699
He is the only one who looks arsed on the side line, and the only one who has the decency to clap traveling away fans, he looks a hell of a lot more arsed than Penney Edited March 24, 2010 by razza699
Lookers_Carl
And it also got brought up in 1973 by the Board of Derby County, forcing Cloughs no2 Peter Taylor to explain his duties in detail. And it didn't go down too well with old big head
NIKI1234
I tell you one thing, our midfield play very similar to how Gray played. I saw Gray play many times and he never passed the half way line either , he was well known for his sideways and backwards passing. Hardly ever shot or scored any goals. So i do think he is bringing something to the party :-)

Stevie_J
I actually saw this thread title and assumed the original post would be satirical. Sadly not.
