Bristolatic
Why is he called Matt D Carr and not just Matt Carr? Is he wanted by the inland revenue? We also have a Matt A Carr, no relation.

Macca
Thought the trialist had a great game today made some fantastic tackles, think he was trying to do too much at times. He got forward well and put some good balls into the box. Definately worth another look/6 month deal.

boboafc
Right back, black, 5' 4" sounds like having a good game. Any thoughts about who it may be, or will it be someone that nobody's ever heard of? , Edited July 31, 2010 by boboafc
RoyleArmy
the trialist is laurent merlin who was let go by blackpool taggert did indeed kick off.
oldhamains
Why did they call him the trialist and not by his name
opinions4u
Why did they call him the trialist and not by his name It was really Gary Neville in disguise, but if they'd named him he'd have got booed.
wardlelatic
the trialist is laurent merlin who was let go by blackpool taggert did indeed kick off. He was french but his name isnt Laurent Wikki Looks like Brooke has ruptured his ligaments... IMO worse than a break
shaw_blue
Why did they call him the trialist and not by his name he had a decent game put in some good tackles, taggert was shouting instructions to him and called him rodriguez

LeylandLatic
He was french but his name isnt Laurent Wikki Looks like Brooke has ruptured his ligaments... IMO worse than a break My word, I diagnosed that at the time from 60 yards away, god i'm good. I did mine in a very similar way a couple of years back, 12 weeks out and a few months extra to truly get the strength back in the stabilising muscles. Absolute bugger of an injury, bad news if true. LeylandLatic
Oh yeah the trialist, looked handy to me. A little too keen to commit himself sometimes but read the game well and played the ball in the 'right way', i'd give him a contract. Ernie For England
I was impressed with the trialist. Worth a 6 month contract imo.
Bristolatic
According to Taggart on LP, he only trained one day before playing 90 minutes. GT sounded very pleased with him and suggested decisions to be made.

BP1960
+1 allows lee to be used in midfield when needed Yet another right back is surely not the priority ?
wardlelatic
Yet another right back is surely not the priority ? priority no, but when a young lad becomes available its worth a 6 mth contract... he will be cheap
LeylandLatic
Yet another right back is surely not the priority ? Maybe not, but consider that Kieran Lee can cover anywhere in the midfield or the other full back position and it becomes quite useful to have a competent right back to bring in, especially if Lomax is on his way out. biggie21
Good to see if you ask me, nice to see some passion coming from the bench. if it was penney you would have seen him arms folded no emotion at all. hope he recovers quickly.
