Diego_Sideburns
Broadbent must have had either a good coach or knows about alzheimer's as he's getting some of the minutiae fairly accurate. The Midlands' Late Kick-off programme last night included a feature on Robbie Savage's farewell to Pride Park, in which he included his dad, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. underdog
Been pretty good, some of the locations (aside from BP) have looked like Oldham to me (the a56 obviously isn't though) and there's a bit of Rambottom/Edenfield in there as well. Broadbent must have had either a good coach or knows about alzheimer's as he's getting some of the minutiae fairly accurate. Ditto on Claire Goose I forgot she was an FHM favourite back in the day. I think I read that Broadbent's mum had the condition and that's why he knows how to play the role Terrible condition, I really don't know what will be worse in my latter years, no marbles or no bladder control..or knowing me, both

rammylatic
A lot of it was filmed in Ramsbottom for all those interested. John Simms' first words when entering the town was ":censored: hole". Don't know why the letter features the address at Bacup. Also filming took place in Radcliffe, Lees (I think), along the A627 and of course the mighty BP. I think it's a good drama, well worth watching.

longtimeblue
Just watched the first 2 episodes on catch up, really decent, looking forward to the last one. Broadbent proving what a first class actor he is. Not sure our percentage of black and Chinese fans is that high most Saturdays though. SholverBlue
Think it'll be filmed all over Lancs. Paul Abbot is from Burnley and John Simm is from Lanky aswell. There's a few scenes in Oldham aswell. I read a feature on it which said the majority was filmed in Oldham, a few scenes set in Bolton aswell. Beardy
There were scenes just off Manchester road near the glass bridge as they go to the flats!
Dave_Og
There were also scenes, particularly at the start, which may as well have been cut and pasted direct from my film script circulated around various production companies. to put it mildly
citizen_smith
There were also scenes, particularly at the start, which may as well have been cut and pasted direct from my film script circulated around various production companies. to put it mildly You mean the cliched driving north in the rain, looking moodily out of a window clutching a mug of tea and reminiscing about being escorted off the premises of your former place of work? Just caught ep1 on iPlayer - available til Tues.
