So currently we have the following daunting fixture list for March - just the 9 (NINE) games then... :shock:

Sat 3 15:00 A Sheffield Utd

Tue 6 19:45 H Scunthorpe

Sat 10 15:00 H Yeovil Town

Tue 13 19:45 A Stevenage

Sat 17 15:00 A Rochdale

Tue 20 19:45 A Hartlepool

Sat 24 15:00 H Bournemouth

Tue 27 19:45 H Leyton Orient

Sat 31 15:00 A Notts County

 

 

Come on then - who's going to all nine?

Hoping to make Sheffield Utd, defo Rochdale.

Along with all the home ones.

Possibly going to see if can go on holiday day earlier and stop of enroute at Notts County..

2 games a week is normal for later in the season, no hardship surely for full time professionals.

It's a managers job to have a strong enough squad to take the club through that period.

I hope we don't hear the lame excuse of tiredness resulting in lost points.

Good job we didn't get to Wembley , another cancelled game to fit in !!!!!!!!!!! :D

Agree - but if one team has 9 games in a month and another has five or six - does the team with fewer games have an advantage? :unsure:

I think it was Emlyn Hughes who said he would rather be playing than training, and the old Liverpool didn't do bad with lots of fixtures.

Was the the 'old Liverpool' who were the best team in the country at the time with the most talented and largest squad in the old first division?

Yup _ I can see no reason why if it worked for them it cannot work for us too... :wink:

Largest squad ?..about 16, with most playing every game, no scientific diets in those days, and a bucket and cold sponge man was the physio. :wink:

Ah - but the rest of the teams only had fifteen man squads - and the Liverpool sponge was pure sponge :grin:
