oafc-latics
The article on the website about Roger Palmer obviously mentioned he is our highest scorer, but how far ahead is he of whoever is second.. and third for that matter? I've only known us in League One so i doubt anyone from my time will be anywhere close, but having heard of the goodtimes from my dad and on here, i'm familiar with names and videos So what would be interesting is any sort of all time goal scorers list for us? Thanks in advance!
Andyt84
Ritchie must be up there he's scored over 100 as I remember his hundredth goal.
Crusoe
Based on this list, which I think is out of date (but shouldn't matter with our last few years of non-scoring) and only covers post-war years: Roger Palmer (1980-94) - 141 Eric Gemmell (1947-54) - 109 Andy Richie (1987-99) - 94 David Shaw (1969-78) - 91 Not sure if this is just league or includes cup goals. LaticsPete
Roger Palmer 141 League + 5 FA Cup + 10 League Cup = 156 goals Eric Gemmell 109 League + 11 FA Cup = 120 goals Andy Ritchie 84 League + 4 FA Cup + 19 League Cup = 107 goals David Shaw 91 League + 2 FA Cup + 2 League Cup = 95 goals

stargazer
The 4-1 win at City on August Bank Holiday if I recollect was an astounding game. We should have been 3 up before we scored. Palmer scored a sublime hat trick & Milligan's goal was a belter ....and as for City's pen , one of the worst you will ever see. Footnote...... I think we did not win away from home again for 6 months & City got promoted. We did them a favour , showing them how bad their team was & they got it sorted. oafcprozac
Cecere and Bunn missed a shedload between them and City missed a pen too Next away win was our penultimate away game at Leicester! Turning point for City was signing Megson in the January, shored up the midfield and got a scrappy winner on his debut at BP.
