Will we sign Croft in time?

Recommended Posts

Just been to get 'pie and a pint' tickets for Tuesday . Croft was training on little wembley with rest of squad .

The contract with Derby was a mutual termination and it really would be stupid of Croft to just disappear off the scene. The guy is now without a club or a contract and unless there are other clubs knocking on his door with offers, the best he could do is to stay put and look into the possibility of staying until the end of the season.

Do you think there has been some kind of arrangement here with Derby to release him, allowing us to sign him permanently. This would free up another player to come in on loan if needed?

I'm not sure, but I doubt it. It's not like we were facing loan restrictions, and it means we're now paying full wages to Croft, which means less for another signing (loan or otherwise).

I doubt that we're paying out any extra...the loan fee we were paying Derby will now probably be paid directly to Croft.
