singe
Maybe because Murray was a Corney signing? So what you are saying is it seems Corney has more tactical nous than Dickov. Sometimes it feels that is not a bad call.
BP1960
Maybe because Murray was a Corney signing? It's a managers job to manage, outside the football world managers usually have no say who is employed, they just have to make the best of it. OAFC_Ryan
But the manager didn't use his experience when needed. It was a pointless signing in my opinion, what a waste

RobOAFC
If a couple of inexperienced teenagers were preferred from the bench when by all accounts it was was crying out for the team to need a steadying influence ? Was you at the game? Because if you wasn't then it's difficult to say the team was crying out for a steadying influence. To be fair, Dickov's subs were attacking players in an attempt to get a goal. At this stage in his career, Murray is as you say, more likely to be a steadying influence but when your 2-1 down with 15 minutes to go he isn't what you need. You need more attack minded players who will look to beat the defender and get a cross in and someone running to get on the end of it. Murray isn't either of them type of players. If we was winning 2-1 with 15 minutes to go, then you would want Murray on to put his foot on the ball, slow down the play and keep possession.
