Stevie_J
Paul Scholes has come in to 8-1 on Skybet.

Lukers1
I would love to see the candidate list, maybe Scholes is one of them... Alas, we will never know.
razza699
They only way I would like him is if he did this to our current crop of underachieving :censored:s
lancy lad
Cant see it being Scholes, Corney knows we need experience. The reason his price is shortening, is a few chancers have slapped a tenner on it IMO.

Oh Heck C-Beck
While inexperienced scholes will hopefully command respect and have learnt a lot from ferguson. Can't see it though
z3spacial
Scholes now 7/4 favourite. Paul Scholes 7/4 Iain Dowie 4/1 John Sheridan 7/1 Phil Brown 8/1 Nicky Butt 14/1 Mark Crossley 18/1 Gary Megson 18/1 Billy Davies 20/1 Paul Jewell 20/1 Alan Knill 20/1 Derek McInnes 20/1 Paul Ince 22/1 Steven Pressley 22/1 Ritchie Barker 22/1 Nick Barmby 22/1 Peter Houston 25/1 Micky Mellon 25/1 Alan Irvine 25/1 Paolo Di Canio 28/1 Alan Curbishley 28/1 Owen Coyle 28/1 Steve Kean 33/1 Where has Shez appeared from? Proving the bookies don't know anything.....
Microcuts
While Scholes as favourite seems completely ludicrous, his contribution as (presumably) player-manager would probably keep us up anyway! Will no doubt be a first class coach, have the contacts, support etc.. But, surely not.
Latics and England
While I do not for one minute believe it will be Scholes it does beg the question: Would he be able to play? If he was to come as manager his contract at United would have to be cancelled. As far as I am aware, if you were under contact at the end of teh transfer window, you cannot sign for another club and play until after the season finishes. I would imagine the only way he could play for us this season would be if we took him on loan and then made him caretaker manager. I might be talking tosh though
deyres42
Don't need him, we have Winchester.
help_shiny
Mark Hughes currently at 50/1 with VC. Watch him come in.... (the odds that is, not the actual job)
help_shiny
Mark Hughes currently at 50/1 with VC. Watch him come in.... (the odds that is, not the actual job) & there you go - 25/
bossrocks
Scholes and Baxter would tear up L1! In related news, some PNE fans I know reckon Westley is on his way out. Apparently PNE are on their worst ever home run. If we appoint him, I'm never watching football again.

Gaz_Oafc
Betting is on next permanent manager, if we were to bring is somebody until the end of the season, would this count?
help_shiny
How much did you put on (see put on), if you don't mind me asking? £20. F***'s chance given that most of us want to rip off his head and poop in the hole and he thinks he's God's gift and presumably above managing the like of us but seeing as he was in the directors box at the Liverpool game and I'll get a grand if it is him I thought it was worth a speculative punt! deyres42
More chance of Mark Owen being next manager than Mark Hughes.
help_shiny
if anyone wants to back Mark Hughes at 40/1 I'm sure we can come to an arrangement on Betfair
