BP and TTA

Na, no ones interested unless there are ‘smoke and mirrors’ involved. For the record though, it looks as there is a mortgage attached to the land, taken out by Brassbank Ltd, whose Directors are Messrs Blitz and Gazal, Company Secretary Corney.

There you have it, they are still involved.

What do the assets comprise of, and how on earth will they get the £5 million owed ?

At the risk of criticism for repeating the same old quote from Corney:

“A financial genius could not get out of this deal level. I don’t ever see us taking money out of the Club. The Club doesn’t have a burden of debt, it’s all personal and that’s a pretty good safeguard to have.

Without making this a sob story - we are never going to get our money back. It’s bizarre how anyone can come up with figures to suggest we can make money. The only way to break even would be to sell Boundary Park and go back to America. We stay because we like it. If we wanted to we could walk away, sell boundary Park and there’s nothing could be done to stop us and if we’re supposedly trying to make money from this why would we not do that now and walk away?"

What's left to sell of BP, and where do the council fit into all this ?

Simon Blitz is the Company Secretary of Brass Bank Ltd. I don't think Corney has had any formal position with the company.

The 5 million was a loan, that will be owed.

The Council's involvement is summed up in this.

Still watching this space....

"He was delighted to have reached “an agreement in principal” to keep Latics in the borough, with an added benefit of kickstarting regeneration projects at both Boundary Park and the Lancaster Club"

'Kickstarting' 18 months ago - the mechanics seem to have stalled.

Both the new stand and the Lancaster Club proposals are awaiting partners to finance them.

For what it's worth (no idea) I sat in the ticket queue yesterday in RRE next to a guy who said that the new stand had already been built in France and is ready to be dis-assembled and shipped across then re-assembled. What needs to happen next, he didn't say but he was adamant that the stand exists!!

What needs to happen next is a planning application needs to be submitted to the Council, for the long-winded planning process to commence.
