jimsleftfoot
A thought has occurred? If TTA wanted to borrow money to buy BP back in 2004, would they have been able to borrow this money though OAFC 2004 considering the crap the football club had been through? If not, could this provide a reason why OAFC 2004 doesn't own the land?
razza699
My bet is it will take 2 pages before this becomes a Corney bashing thread.
jimsleftfoot
Na, no ones interested unless there are ‘smoke and mirrors’ involved. For the record though, it looks as there is a mortgage attached to the land, taken out by Brassbank Ltd, whose Directors are Messrs Blitz and Gazal, Company Secretary Corney. There you have it, they are still involved. Edited February 11, 2013 by jimsleftfoot

BP1960
What do the assets comprise of, and how on earth will they get the £5 million owed ? Edited February 11, 2013 by BP1960
Diego_Sideburns
What do the assets comprise of, and how on earth will they get the £5 million owed ? At the risk of criticism for repeating the same old quote from Corney: “A financial genius could not get out of this deal level. I don’t ever see us taking money out of the Club. The Club doesn’t have a burden of debt, it’s all personal and that’s a pretty good safeguard to have. Without making this a sob story - we are never going to get our money back. It’s bizarre how anyone can come up with figures to suggest we can make money. The only way to break even would be to sell Boundary Park and go back to America. We stay because we like it. If we wanted to we could walk away, sell boundary Park and there’s nothing could be done to stop us and if we’re supposedly trying to make money from this why would we not do that now and walk away?" PaulMag
For what it's worth (no idea) I sat in the ticket queue yesterday in RRE next to a guy who said that the new stand had already been built in France and is ready to be dis-assembled and shipped across then re-assembled. What needs to happen next, he didn't say but he was adamant that the stand exists!!

laticsrblue
Your Q mate is jumping the gun, what would be the point of having a stand "ready to go" in France when its plans haven't even been been submitted to the council for approval, or not. Also I checked the land registry and it confirms Brassbank own the freehold. As did an MEN article from when the takeover took place.
