RoytonLatics
Too early to judge at this stage, brown does have some talent tho
NewBlue
Is this a joke thread? I'm a fan of Connor Brown but comparing him with Keiran Lee... I don't think you need a poll to realise the answer to this question. Edited February 21, 2013 by NewBlue
owdumer
I thought this was another manager thread for a minute!
Ross2509
Lee is the best RB I've seen at Latics for years, consistently performed. Fantastic player. But with Connor Brown only time will tell and he also has to be a lot more consistent, but he is a lot more younger than Kieran Lee was
leeslover
Lee wasn't cutting it at this stage with us. Up to Connor to answer the question in the next year or two.
Latics_Fanatic
I think it is hard to judge, the only thing swinging it for me is that we haven't particularly missed Keiran Lee IMO - we've had Wabara and Brown who have given us the same amount of attacking threat that Lee did, but also do the right things defensively most of the time. Lee was prone to getting caught out of position up field and that cost us on a few occasions, however, i would have loved to see how Lee would link up with Croft on the right side - could have been an interesting partnership and would have been deadly in attacking terms, providing somone could get on to their balls into the box. I'd say we've missed Taylor more than Lee, his threat was always there; even though he had many doubters near the end of his Latics career, his attacking intent was always clear to see - i think we have missed him on the LW with Montano being a very hit and miss player, although Obita seems to be a much worthy replacement for Taylor and has proved to be in the 3 weeks he's been here. Break The Silence
Jesus : laughable thread. Keiran Lee by a country mile. This. This shouldn't even be up for debate. Surely this is a wind up?
Latics_Fanatic
This. This shouldn't even be up for debate. Surely this is a wind up? Not at all, i just couldn't make my mind up - i guess this dire season has faded my memory of how much quality Keiran Lee had, being honest, i can't even remember much of last season any more - who played RM last term? Was it Marsh-Brown?
jsslatic
I'm amazed this is a poll, never mind something somebody's been pondering for a few days.
iamjonesyyoafc
its hard to judge but at the moment there's no contest. To compare Kieran Lee's 4 years at Latics to Connor Browns 12 games is daft. Granted Brown is a good player of great potential but Lee is the best Right-Back we've had at Latics in recent times. Better than Eardley and Wabara. More consistent than all three too.
JonesyOAFC
Lee by a country mile. Also, is it Kieran or Keiran? Because he has a namesake with the alternative spelling of his forename who happens to be a male pornstar, which I unfortunately found out once whilst attempting to view the footballing Lee's wikipedia page... Killens_physio
How about another poll for Whitaker or Wellens? Lee hands down so far. Surely Eardley or Lee would have been a more fitting poll?
Monty Burns
I would rather have neither and play Danny Whittaker at right back.
kings
I think a more appropriate question would be to ask is whether or not brown has shown enough for a new contract. His deal ends this summer. Will oldham renew?
oafcprozac
Of course Kieran Lee every time, but special mention for Connor. He lost his place to a guy that was absolutely :censored: defensively, the is thrown back in and expected to simply 'perform' understandably he had a 'mare at Walsall. TP worked his arm around the shoulder magic, he had a very good game v MK and played well against Everton. Earlier in the season he looked a very decent prospect, I've seen noting to change that opinion, which for me made the decision (winning goal v Liverpool or not) to bring in Wabara for an extra fortnight, actually full stop a poor decision. Said it before and I'll say it again, why sign players, if they are not going to to play?
