Some likened it to teams like Barca keeping the ball , the difference is that nobody was trying to take the ball from him, or challenge him to make him pick it up.

This and the Man City corner flag fiasco reminds me of the surreal time when Inter were trying to win Serie A on the final day from Juventus and Roma. All they needed was a win and they were away to Lazio who had nothing to play for and whose fans hated Juve and Roma. When Lazio led 3-2 their own fans booed their players and cheered on Inter! They ended up winning 4-2 which cost Inter the title.
