super_blue Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 These fellas where the best thing about tonight's visit! Very polite, welcoming, hospitable and helpful! Quote
ziggazagga Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I have to agree that tonight's stewarding by the Walsall stewards was fantastic. I was met by friendly helpful staff who although no doubt were freezing cold still managed to be hospitable with smiles on there faces. Good effort guys you've done you club proud. Quote
Forte_Baby Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Will always remember that game when Royle was in charge and the stewards let the Oldham fans onto the pitch end of game. Quote
laticsmarra Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 We always find the people in Wasall to be very friendly,so I am not surprised at the comments about last nights stewards Quote
longtimeblue Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) Will always remember that game when Royle was in charge and the stewards let the Oldham fans onto the pitch end of game. You're doing me an injustice there Tom. I always liked to think I spotted a gap and seized my opportunity to shake hands with the great man. Edited January 15, 2014 by longtimeblue Quote
ShireBlue Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I always thank the decent stewards when leaving grounds. Treat them with a bit of respect and they're more-than-likely going treat you like a civilised member of society next time round. Quote

Fyldelatic Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I agree. Polite, friendly, non-officious, a credit to the club. Quote
LaticsPete Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Perhaps their counterparts at Rotherham could take a few lessons from them. Quote
Lee Sinnott Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Decent stewards there, but Walsall are such a pointless Football Club... Quote
Frankly Mr Shankly Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I would have thought general politeness should be the minimum requirement from a steward myself. Not really something worthy of slightly nauseous praise, but there y'go. Big clap to the Walsall stewards for their toothy smiles. Quote
OldhamSheridan Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Perhaps their counterparts at Rotherham could take a few lessons from them. To be fair, the levels of fan :censored:wittery at that game were remarkable. Quote
Downender Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Decent stewards there, but Walsall are such a pointless Football Club... not on Tuesday night they were'nt... Quote
oldhamoafc Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Decent stewards there, but Walsall are such a pointless Football Club... If they are a pointless football club, i dread to think what that makes us. Quote

Not really something worthy of slightly nauseous praise, but there y'go. Big clap to the Walsall stewards for their toothy smiles. I think it's prompted by the fact that most clubs' stewards are annoying :censored:ing jobsworths. Quote
Fyldelatic Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Didn't they open one of the gates at half time for smokers? Quote
peter_headen Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Didn't they open one of the gates at half time for smokers? And provided me with a light. Quote
Fyldelatic Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 It just shows how pleasant it is when they understand the concept of service. Quote
