Handsy
He can always change his mind when he's older the option to play for the Republic won't go away until he wins his first England cap !
rudemedic
He can always change his mind when he's older the option to play for the Republic won't go away until he wins his first England cap !First competitive England cap at any level. So an u-21 friendly wouldn't count but playing for the u-21s at their Euro Championships would. Full international friendlies don't count, hence why Diego Costa can play for Spain, having played for Brazil, and Thiago Motta can play for Italy also having played for. Brazil. opinions4u
Now you see if that was me I'd be mentioning it every game since because I'm a strangely overly superstitious bloke Have you mentioned it since? Oddly, only to take the piss out of my own ability to assess a footballer.
disjointed
It's testament to his belief in his own ability. He obviously considers himself an Englishman and hasn't jumped at the first sniff of a chance to play international football. Fair play, he should be commended whether he gets a chance or not. Either way, his confidence should bode well for us. This

Magic Mikey
Didn't Mike Cecere have a similar dilemma deciding between England and Italy?

the_mighty_bosh
Disappointed that the young lad doesn't want to become Jonson O'Clarke Harris. JOCH would've been a great nickname for someone half-English and half-Irish.

LaticsPete
Disappointed that the young lad doesn't want to become Jonson O'Clarke Harris. JOCH would've been a great nickname for someone half-English and half-Irish. Instead of " O Johnson Clarke Harris" as in the current song Edited May 15, 2014 by LaticsPete
