The fact Rotherham offered us a club record fee for JCH meant we had to take it, I liked him but if we are offered £300-400K for a player like that then I say take it. Taylors contract was up eardley's was running down and he wanted to leave, We don't know how much we got for Tarky but I reckon it was a good fee. Threads on this board will back up that many wanted them droped because we had better or they were just plain not good enough... but all of a sudden we want big fees for them? Kieran Lee for Eardley which was a sucess because Lee is playing at a higher level now then eardley. Taylor rarely plays and also with Tarky plus we have a better defender in Wilson The other way of looking at it: Eardley went on to do well in the Prem; Taylor did well at Millwall and appears to be getting a starting place at Blackburn, having played a big part in them getting to the fifth round of the FA Cup; and Tarkowski has forced his way back into a team challenging for promotion to the top flight. I haven't seen much at all of Wilson but would question the notion that he's better than Tarky, who is proving himself at a higher level. Eardley went to the Prem didnt he? 18 months injured has now affected his career... Taylor has now played for 2 championship clubs and we didnt have anyone who could take his place when here, people still wanted hiim out. Was Wilson here when when people wanted Tarky dropped from our back 4? Tarky won promotion from this league and is now regular in a good championship side. Wilson is not a better player than Tarky!
