Latics v Brewers 31.10.15

Recommended Posts

Looking at their results, 8 of their 9 wins have been by one goal. The only game they won by 2 goals was last week thanks to 2 late goals.

With our draws, it all points to being a very tight game. Concentration and discipline will be key (how exciting does that sound?)

They’ve lost more games than Latics and only won once in the last six games, scoring only 3 and conceding 6. Four of the six were conceded at Fleetwood two weeks ago. Three of the four defeats have been away from home.

Friday’s ‘Brewers’ Bulletin’, as requested by TheBigDog:

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has received an honorary fellowship from Burton & South Derbyshire College and a big hat to go with it.

Yesterday the rarely-wrong Chron reported on the Brewers’ extraordinary year since Gary Rowett left:

The Burton Mail has been talking to the Chron's Matt Chambers about Latics and also has a 'tactics board'.

Saturday’s 'Brewers’ Bulletin', as requested by TheBigDog:

22301133218_da749f3997_n.jpg

It’s an Historic day with the first League meeting between the two Clubs and up to 2,000 supporters in the North Stand for the first time.

It’s ‘Spooky Blues Day’ for young Latics supporters, who are being advised to prepare to be scared. Surely it couldn’t be as horrific as the players’ performances against Peterborough and Scunthorpe! Let’s hope Latics produce a spooktacular performance with more ghouls for us to cheer than my f®iends from Burton.

Who is alex read?

I'm guessing it's perhaps this guy...

Previous clubs: Tilbury, Brentwood Town, Aveley
Biography: 27 year old striker who signed for Harlow in July 2013 from Essex neighbours Aveley. Now in his third season with the club after breaking the clubs goal scoring record in 2013-14 with a magnificent 52 league and cup goals, he rattled in another 42 in the 2015-15 season. Read has also scored over 50 combined goals for Tilbury, Brentwood Town and Aveley. Quick, tricky and certainly knows where the back of the net is. Golden Boot Winner for the last two seasons in Ryman Division One North.

It appeared he didn't like someone in the crowd mentioning that.

If James Wilson don't like :censored: off the crowd he can :censored: off for me, captain in some of the worst Latics performances ive seen and an ever present in a team thats picking up on average less than a point a game, Dunn talked about players who think they are a shoe in to be picked this pad attitude stinks.
