youngen
Mate of mine has just sent a snippet from The Scum newspaper, which says Oldham are struggling to pay the wages this month and David Dunn broke enws to squad yesterday. 99% likely its bollocks and there will be an apology on page 22 next week, but has anyone heard anything similar? Some may say they dont deserve paying anyway...
Senor_Coconut
I did suspect this might be the cause for our showings this season, but way sign 50 loan players if we are short of money?
deyres42
Wouldn't be surprised, heard rumblings of similar a month or two ago.

SavageTheBeast
I posted something in League 1 activity about a journalist on Twitter saying that a second club Hasn't paid ther wages seems something in it now
yarddog73
Just another day for the joke club of League 1, OAFC. It seems Corney's policy of appointing buffoons to manage the first team this season is now bearing fruit , thousands off the home gates, a team nobody can identify with, most fans favourite players frozen out on the bench and any potential assets within the first team squad ruined by as clueless management/coaching team, players who had resale value a couple of months ago are now virtually worthless. Nobody would be surprised if this is true the clubs been stripped back to virtually :censored: all and this is at a time when our illustrious chairman tells us our brand new facility will elevate us to the next level - what a joke that statement was. More like it could potentially ruin us.

deyres42
Yep, just keep burying your head in the sand. Don't know the ins and outs but PFA will generally help out in these situations, staff not being paid is never a good thing though. Goes back to what I and others have been saying though, whatever you think of Corney, the board, Dunn, kicking them while they are down will not help - they asked for unity a few weeks and haven't had it, it needs to come soon. palmer1
Said it elsehere but Wellens signs on Thursday & wages cant be paid Friday? who thinks Donny would pay a 35 yr old to play for another league 1 club in a very similar league position? he wont play for free and the club must know before making a signing that wages are going to be a problem
mickjagger
All makes sense the delay in finishing the stand. Corney going of his nut when we exited the cups early / loss of revenue to complete the stand. So even more critical we stay in this league whilst the stand is finished. oafc21
Not being paid didn't stop the Northampton players marching up the table and knock Coventry out of the cup on their own patch!!

Gaz_Oafc
Heard about this yesterday, along with one or two snippets about how incompetent the day to day running of the club is when Corney is away... Frightening
