We're on GMR at 6pm

In regards to championship clubs with low attendances not doing well. Look at Rotheram. Also our fanbase would increase the more successful we are. The board and owner have not grasp the concept of, if you build it they will come.

I think the board have grasped the concept the majority of the Football League habitually squander serious amounts of cash on ineffectual managers. Who in turn habitually waste it on underperforming players. If the manager does come up with a gem... well we all know what happens then, it's called balancing the books. Having big ideas doesn't cut the mustard in this game.

How do you suggest retaining players who know they can get a 200% pay rise by leaving?

Why is it short sighted to cash in before they get to a point where they can leave for free?

When did JCH ever show he could be special talent?

When he was at Bury!

Or even retain a manager and a few core players for more than 6 months and we'd be well on our way, all Burton, Walsall and Gillingham to a degree have done this season is highlight what a little continuity can achieve, a manager like Johnson or Sheridan would have us around the play offs if they where given an ounce of real backing, since Johnson we have had enough players to make us competitive but they are sold off sometimes in desperation for a quick fix, it's so short sighted a team of.

Coleman

Grounds

Tarky

Gerrard

Dummigan

Kelly

Smith

Jones

Palmer

Clarke Harris

Holloway

would piss this League so it's not like we need some miracle to achieve, our fans are now totally immune to success and in fact some even see finishing 17th in the League a success, we have had the players and managers to do the job but we sell them off or let them go for peanuts, and before anyone tells me we need to sell to survive we have wasted more on bad appointments and under selling our real assets, to get any chance of success we need a chairman who has some hunger for achieving, till that changes the downward spiral will continue

That said you couldn't have had Smith & Kelly in the same team could you? I'm sure one replaced the other...

Top 6 'Without a matter of doubt' next season

Can thrive in the Championship under Shez!

Apology for statement regarding no ambition

Admitted mistakes regarding manager appointments although stopped short regarding Dunn

Tony P talking up Edmondson / Coleman

BO said it would cost a large amount to sell the club with the new stand

No firm offers for the club at the moment

No approaches made for Shez

BO mentioned Glackin as a prospect

BO wouldn't distance the club from Ched Evans in the future

BO John Sheridan in full control of signings (is currently on holiday) no players who have been offered contracts have responded yet (but that's normal apparently)

John Sheridan wants a reserve team back in place.. TP a massive fan of the old reserve league for youth development

I too advocate that we get exceptionally lucky with several signings that we thought were OK turning out to be world class, and them all working amazingly well together for a short period of time.

But when the powers that be subscribe to the theory that that can't happen, and brainwash much of the fanbase accordingly, it probably never will.......

A much more optimistic and ambitious view was presented by Barry and TP seemed very happy with Shez in charge because he gives youth a chance. He said it makes a big difference that Shez spent some time as a youth coach here in his last spell.

One slightly worrying aspect of the interview was Barry's comments on the Ched Evans situation. Although he didn't says so specifically, I go the distinct impression that he personally would be very keen to sign him if the opportunity arises.

He was quoted out of context last time around.

That's usually because he doesn't present the context in the quote. No one really believes Barry thinks we should deliberately try and rot between 15-17th in League One - but that's what he said, because at times he's painfully inarticulate and short-sighted. Mercifully through luck or good judgement he seems to have got this one right. Which is nice to see.

Jimmy Wagg does my tits in. 15 minutes left he asks for people to text in, then doesnt ask one more question from anyone other than himself.

Barry, for once, didnt muck the media up. But he doesnt half sound like he belongs in the George Hill upper shouting at Eardley.
