I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a 6 month deal with us at the end of August if we still need a midfield squad player and he hasn't got a new club. It'd be refreshing for a youth player to get the nod, but Mantack's age against the experience of Law will probably set him back regardless of what happens in friendlies. If any midfielder comes in they'll be a box-to-box player. Reckon he sees Banks as his creative man, but probably won't want to rely on Winchester and Klok, with only Woodland back-up. An Anthony Grant type, although he will command a fee at 29, so he's out of the question. Another striker will likely come in, although if it does end up being your man Norwood, his usage on the wing at Tranmere will likely mean he's drafted in to fill both positions, with maybe Croft and the Trialist, plus the youth lads as back-ups. If we're playing big lads up top like Erwin or Cassidy, then we need wingers or improve their hold up game because neither of them won a header last night so it would be pointless playing them!
