Seemed a sensible move at the time to have someone of O'Driscolls experience doing the player recruitment administration stuff while freeing up a younger man to get out on the Grass and work and coach the team. Also sure the dof’s of this world just state there role is needed to justify their wage. Stay clear, manager on 3-4 year deal, let him select who he wants and make the calls in and out.
