  1. Up to 15th as well! Bloody hell, I think I need to sit down!!
  2. Can normally see the glow from my kitchen but it looks all dark tonight! Am I wasting my time setting off?
  3. I agree almost entirely with Mike's article. I barely post on here anymore and don't even read it all that often due to the amount of :censored:e that gets spouted particularly after a defeat. I also agree with OAFCTOM that Twitter and this board are probably best avoided after a defeat until the frustration has died down and you can be more objective about things. The thing is, EVERYONE is frustrated and pissed off after we get beat. If we had a cat in our house the little bugger would be black and blue from all the kicks it would have had this season. And I don't buy any of this "you couldn't wait for us to get beat" bull:censored: either. We're all Latics fans and we ALL want the team to do well, and no true Latics fan ever wants us to lose games. Unfortunately social media sites allow some of our empty heads to say things to players/staff/other fans that they wouldn't dream of saying to their faces. I'd wager that most of those allegedly going ape:censored: on twitter last night are sexually frustrated 15 year olds anyway. But we certainly aren't the only club that have this contingent. For me, LJ is doing a good job. He's got the defence working as an effective unit, and whilst we aren't keeping many clean sheets, we're not conceding many goals in a game. Wes and Smith are playing well in the centre of the park, and where the real area of concern lies in not scoring enough goals, he's tried to address the issue by bringing in the experience of Harkins and Worrall, but it's not going to happen overnight. As has been said elsewehere, this season was always likely to be about transition, and Johnson IS building a good YOUNG squad. He is trying to keep the nucleus of that squad together whilst adding a bit of experience where necessary, and will no doubt look to build upon that foundation for next season.
  4. I enjoyed the 'behind the scenes' stuff last night. First one I've seen on BT, and thought the coverage was good.
  5. It was indeed a clash if heads, but their player had absolutely zero prospect of getting the ball and the challenge was reckless in the extreme. No different going in 2 footed "to win the ball" IMO.
  6. Er......what?! I presume you didn't mean to quote me? If you did then... er.......huh?!
  7. The plastic bottles were thrown at Talbot who came directly to goad the fans in the Chaddy. Whilst I don't condone it, it is a shame they didn't hit the bald prick.
  8. Felt sorry for LJ. Must be a right kick in the bollocks for him on a personal note. Need to get behind the team and LJ tomorrow night.
  9. as part if the investigation into spot fixing, according to bbc website.
  10. I wouldn't trust anything that comes from the mouth of a club director who actually chooses to travel to away games on the team coach wearing player training gear! He's like a poor man's Vincent Tan! Have a bit of dignity man, and buy yourself some chinos of something else comfortable!
  11. I've just seen that wankshaft Dave Whelan interviewed on Sky Sports. Told Coyle he wasn't happy with his team selections. Coyle asked him if Whelan wanted him to resign, and he said yeah. So he did, the silly bastard! What an odious turd Whelan is!
  12. Superb win tonight and a great birthday present of 3 points! Thank you Latics!!
  13. Can't we just wait for the return fixture at BP and then kick the :censored: out of them?
  14. Jesus! Just seen the table. Good job we won or we'd be in 20th, only outside the bottom 4 on GD!
  15. Superb result Latics, and a clean sheet. Well done to all concerned! Shame about the sending off but it sounded like their lad had had repeated nibbles at Big Eric before he snapped!!
