  1. I'm from Oldham, Lancashire. No question.
  2. I wonder what he'd make of all this Suarez nonsense?
  3. Waking the neighbours when we scored! My wife had to go out and apologise.
  4. What actually happened? It wasn't clear on the tele.
  5. Most, if not all, of these commentaries are unavailable overseas due to "Rights Restrictions". However, if all else fails, I will be on Skype with my dad between 3:00am and 5:00am tomorrow morning. If he happens to have the radio on in the background, I might just be able to overhear t.
  6. Really wish I could be there. However, I'll get my enjoyment walking round town in my Latics shirt tomorrow and baiting all the local Liverpool "fans" - and there are lots of 'em - after we've won.
  7. Here's today's effort from local sports daily Siam Sport http://www.siamsport.co.th/Sport_Football/120106_043.html It mentions the Suarez ba and the likliehood that Bellamy will start, and possibly Gerrard. Paul Dickov's playing career is mentioned as are our 1-0 win against Southend in round 2 and the draw against Chesterfield on Monday. The Liverpool team looks to be a fairly full strength one: Doney Johnson Skirtel Carragher Kelly Rodriguez Selway Spearing (Gerrard) Adam Kuyt Bellamy LATICS Cisak Black Diamond Nathan Clark Morais Furman Adeyemi Taylor Lee Simpson Kuqi No mention of it being on tele.
  8. So far, no plans to show the match on terrestrial Thai TV. However, things are prone to change at the very last minute here so I'm still hoping. ESPN/Star in Singapore may be broadcasting it but True have the rights for FA Cup ties in Thailand, and they definitely aren't showing it.
  9. Another one here (in Thai): http://www.siamsport.co.th/Sport_Football/120105_188.html It's mainly Jay Spearing talking about the defeat to M*n C*ty in the league and how they'll have to play better in the League Cup semi final next week. However, in the final paragraph, he says that the most important match is the one against Oldham (โอลดแฮม) in the FA Cup. And how the players want to win in front of their fans.
  10. This is from the Australian Four Four Two site: http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/227991,tassie-star-on-dream-fa-cup-clash.aspx A good bit of publicity for the club.
  11. If you're talking eight BIG bottles, that is some achievement! I bet you had the legendary Changover the morning after. :-)
  12. Thanks. We (Chonburi) secured second place in the TPL final table last Thursday. I'm saving up for my trip to Wembley. ;-)
  13. Likewise. :-) Mine has certainly started off on the right foot. :-) I can enjoy a few Changs now!
  14. It's just striking midnight here. What a Happy New Year!! :-) Well done, lads.
  15. I'm hoping/expecting it will be on live in Thailand.
  16. I know. But as an eleven year old who'd grown up in a class full of U*d and C*ty "fans", this was especially sweet. And it was only a few years after they won the European Cup and we were scrapping at the bottom o the pile. :-)
  17. Hard to believe it was thirty seven years ago. Feels like only yesterday. :-)
  18. Merry Christmas to all Latics fans and their families, wherever you may be.
  19. They're even having a moan on the Grauniad messageboard. This from ATigerFromTlon "Not much fun at the Valley today; Oldham drew their tactics from the Big Book of Frustrating Football, the officials (to my possibly partial eyes) didn't do much to rein them in and everyone associated with the Latics celebrated their 1-1 draw as if they'd just beat Barcelona at home. Bah. Still top of the league, though, and other results went our way, so my whinging now is just a sign of how much we've come to expect this season."

  21. A great result. Looking forward to reading the posts of those who went. :-)
