  1. Cheers The bet I had was Latics to win by a score of 3-1 which had odds of 16-1. I cashed out when we were leading 3-1 and the game ended 3-2 when Solihull scored a 94th minute penalty… I definitely got less value by cashing out but if I hadn’t or had gone for Solihull/draw I would have got zip
  2. I had Latics to win 3-1 at Solihull and cashed out when the score got to 3-1… it was good value for me that day
  3. Started 4 games in league 1 with a further 6 off the bench for a team in the bottom four. Hopefully dropping down to the National League will allow him to show more. In Mellon we trust I suppose…
  4. Nope. Next games are next week from Monday onwards.
  5. Given that Reid is apparently injured, my starting eleven would be: Hudson Sachdev Raglan Hobson Hogan Kitching Conlon Sheron Lundstram Walker Norwood
  6. Saturday achieved one thing - it showed MM (what he probably already knew tbf) that his fringe players are not up to it. Rather we get confirmation early so we can attempt to bring in better than leave it any longer.
  7. Bromley are in the next round so the game will still need to be moved
  8. The fringe players showed exactly why they are fringe players… The team selection yesterday was poor in my opinion. Playing Hogan at left back? Playing Willoughby as the main striker through the middle? Playing McGahey after his poor recent showings? Furthermore… Not playing Kitching when he is fundamental to our play. Not playing Hobson when he is far and away our best central defender. Not starting with Fondop. Not playing Sheron (!) The balance of the team was way off and it showed in our performance. If the game goes ahead on Tuesday, I look forward to a team that is setup properly. In Mellon we trust… I suppose
  9. Post match - summing up MM comments: “Disappointed, WE apologise, fringe players did not step up, the league is most important focus, we conceded from a set-piece once more - we go again Tuesday, yadda yadda yadda”
  10. There is not a huge gulf between teams like Stockport, Notts County, Wrexham and L2 though…
  11. There’ll be a few changes on Saturday - but we should have enough to beat them. A couple of players we need to watch out for are Niko Muir and Joe White.
  12. Disagree with your second sentence. Agree with your third sentence.
  13. A little bit ‘tongue-in-cheek’ with the title… a long way to go but it’s nice to think that it could happen…
  14. I went with a few mates yesterday and the overriding emotion this morning (despite the victory) was one of disappointment - particularly with our second half performance. The midfield was simply not competitive - they out passed us, out thought us and we had no answer. Far too often this season, average sides make us look poor because the midfield just doesn’t work hard enough. We are hesitant when on the ball and slow to react when out of possession. Under Mellon the back five and keeper have improved significantly but the midfield continues to labour - I’m not sure why McGahey was brought back in to start and why Lundstram (who was way off the pace) was not substituted at half time. In the end we defended well and clung on for the win - special mentions go out to Hudson, Raglan and Fondop(!) who were all great at the back yesterday. We need more energy and tempo in the midfield and that right back we’ve been wanting all season. It is good to win but we are still far too inconsistent in our performance - in Mellon we trust…I suppose
  15. The pass is a ‘domestic’ pass so it should be available
  16. Good scoring record for a winger - just back from an ankle injury which he picked up against us…
  17. Ward and Willoughby have not had enough playing time to show what they can deliver and for us to properly judge…
  18. Definitely one but not the primary objective I think.
