  1. I had hoped that Lundstram would be that player but on the evidence so far he isn’t
  2. What’s all this ‘corrected you already’? They are just stats pal. You've already undermined any credibility you have with your previous posts. File under ‘B’ for talks ‘Bollox’ I think
  3. Norwood 7 in 19 - a goal every 212 minutes played Reid 5 in 13 - a goal every 101 minutes played They are just stats I know but, as I’ve said before, I am yet to see the player that many bang on about…
  4. Much better second half I agree but…in no particular order: We may retain more possession but we still go backward or sideways far too often. Our passing… I lost count the number of times we gave the ball away - under hitting or over hitting the ball - too many players seem to panic when under pressure Yes we are creating chances but the players are still wasting them. We have improved our play when compared against the Unsworth days but if you compare us now against the caretaker days, we don’t really look much better in my opinion. I know we are work in progress but still frustrating and disappointing…in Mellon we trust…I suppose
  5. He was poor again today - contributed very little.
  6. Not how I saw the game… we gave the ball away constantly and the team looked afraid to express itself - too often turning backwards and failing to spot the right pass - and we continue to panic when put under the slightest pressure. Only Hobson and Hogan (and Willoughby when he came on) stepped up today - the rest were average at best - thankfully we got the equaliser with a great cross and strike. Another underperformance from the team today - Mellon hadn’t really improved us so far.
  7. There's another one I'd forgotten about - maybe drop Ward to the bench from my team to accommodate the 'made of biscuits' maestro
  8. I had noticed that - hopefully just taking a breather from his twenty or thirty posts a day!
  9. Hogan back and maybe move McGahey forward to cover for Sheron's suspension? Also - Ward looks like he is fit so could be an option. Agree about Reid and I would be tempted to drop Hope down to the bench. If Green and Dickenson are still injured AND I was the gaffer: Norman Freeman, Hobson, Hogan, Kitching Green, McGahey, Lundstram, Ward Norwood, Reid
  10. This is for @BP1960: Q: Do you have any plans for the youth players? MM: Definitely, there's nothing better for a fanbase to see their own coming through into the first team. They've been involved with us in training and for us to see them in among us as much as possible. We'd love nothing more than that, but again without any emotion. They would have to be good enough to give us the opportunity to win games. That's what it's about. But we involve the young ones and they train with us and they've impressed us.
  11. Yup... time for the players to step up.. btw are Sheron and Norwood suspended for Saturday?
  12. Southend Away this season - Woking Away last season - Bromley Away this season… Is the common theme that our worst performances tend to be away from BP?
  13. Four starts and a few sub appearances. Feel for the lad but a move back to Chester may be good for him
  14. Wow! I’m all for a healthy debate where each puts across his viewpoint but when you resort to comments like ‘Muppet’ and ‘You are chatting shit’ plus calling a fellow Latics fan a ‘Weirdo’ it seems to me that it’s you that has a huge problem. Are you okay hun? Did someone have the temerity to put forward an opposite viewpoint to your own? I genuinely feel sorry for you that you resort to insults and generalisations in a pathetic attempt to support your argument. At no point did I question him not winning every header or celebrating/smiling - I merely questioned your statement that he ‘could kill off any team on his day’ - mere supposition on your part with nothing to back that statement up. As someone else pointed out on here, Norwood has missed more than he has scored - so service is not the problem. If Norwood is the player you say he is then it’s about time that he stepped up and proved it.
  15. Only been to twelve … sorry. Part time supporter I know
  16. There are FOURTEEN strikers in the National League who have scored more goals than Norwood this season. I’m just pointing out that, if he is as good as some claim he is, he should be scoring more surely?
  17. 7 goals in 18 games (a goal every 200 minutes) is a fairly poor return… Reid by way of comparison has scored 4 in 12 (a goal every 104 minutes) Ax I said, I have yet to see that Norwood …
  18. I have yet to see the Norwood you describe in the above post...
  19. Ah.. the good old ‘Hope I’m wrong’ sentence returns - welcome back
  20. The problem is that we are not getting the basics right at the moment
