  1. So clutching at straws, we're delighted that he was only in non-league because 4th division lower end of the table Bury released him because they were skint, so if we signed him straight from fourth division Bury it would be seen as a good capture? I'm confused.
  2. Despite me calling out for experience, I wasn't talking about a lad from non-league, jeez Louise, although I will give the bloke a chance, it's not his fault he's been signed. Johnson's main point he kept making when he was appointed was how he had this super scouting network available to him. So what he meant was, players that play for his dad, played with LDJ, or who his dad once scouted?
  3. "PLEASE READ MY POSTS AS “ALLEGEDLY” AND THEY MAY NOT ALWAYS BE 100% FACTUAL terms and conditions apply"
  4. Also, whilst on my soapbox. The way he treated Schmeltz was a disgrace, he came out to the media and said, Sidney won't be playing again, it hasn't worked out, we're gonna terminate his deal even though there's 18 months to run, next thing, kids are messaging Sid on the net saying don't go we love you, Sid turns round and says what you talking about, i'll be speaking to the manager, it's news to me, before we know it, Sid's the savious substitute because LDJ has no where to turn, very poor. What was it with Mellor as well, very strange coming out to the press saying one of your young lads has a problem, he can't run etc, then plays him every game after saying it. Then the lad from City, yeah he's crap, but to come out after Col U saying he was poor and because he was from City he expected better, the lads only 19 and never played pro football, ruining him in publics gonna do loads for his development. If the defence situation had been solved at the start, meaning players like Mellor and Grounds weren't constantly played out of position, maybe we wouldn't need to pimp out to City for players that aren't up to scratch, but to take him and then blast him was poor, after Rusnak, I bet City will be thinking twice about loaning us more players. Maybe Johnson will read this and invite all us that don't subscribe to some of his strange decisions to the club for a brew and a biscuit, and we can blindy follow too.
  5. That's where I picked it up from I think, as I usually use Salesman, my bad!
  6. Beat me to it. Relegation form if ever I saw it and looking at our next few fixtures, it becomes even more worrying.... Liverpool, will be a hammering.... Stevenage, another one on paper we should be winning, but see Col U, Shrewsbury etc. Walsall/Port Vale, two teams bang in form. Peterborough/Wolves....GULP!!! Not to worry Feb brings Swindon, Bristol City and MK Dons.....GULP!!!
  7. The thing is though, i'm not revelling in the fact we are crap, do you think I enjoyed today? Or Col U or pretty much every other game bar Port Vale and Bradford? I would like Mr Johnson to succeed as much as everyone else, but for me we are half way through the season and we're in exactly the same place, in fact scratch that, i'd say a worse place than we were in September. Most of the early season optimism has all but vanished, the team looks weak, bereft of confidence, and i'm afraid the luck of the third round draw has masked alot of our deficiencies. What would I like to see change? Ok, firstly I think we set up well away from home, nothing too drastic, simply counter attack play which gains very good points at tough grounds like Sheff U and Coventry (Although Sheff U are only a point above us, it shouldn't be seen as a Champions League Final win like the fans would make out on Boxing day!!) But then he uses the same tactics at home, teams simply sit back hit us and bang another 1-0, 2-1 loss. zzzz He drastically needs to change it, I appreciate we' have some good players out, but why not try 3 at the back at home, and have wing backs or wingers bombing on, where has this goal fest football he promised gone, games like Col U, Mansfield, Shrewsbury, Tranmere, Crewe, Chesterfield we were woeful. We have also been crying out for experience, i'm sure there must be some lower league clogger out there who is available, who despite not being world class, could surely guide them through. I'm looking mainly centre midfield here, we need a Duxbury to guide them through. We could also do with someone to unlock a defence, someone like a Rusnak maybe, oh wait a sec.................Rusnka is better than pretty much every player in our roster, but we make start him as a sub, and then bang him in the reserves, it's City's job to nurture him through the youth teams, not ours, ours was to play him, that reflected really bad on us.
  8. What's ironic is, you'll still be posting this bollocks in January 2015, "give him more time, we play well but just don't win, he's a young manger" zzzzzzz
  9. A couple of observations from today, firstly, the stewards, complete bell ends, apparently they have been drafted in from Blackburn Rovers, which says a lot. Frisking 70 year old gentlemen as they entered that hooligan hotspot of the main stand (hardly the den). I enquired why they were performing the searches, he replied a bottle of wine had been smuggled in the last match, OMFG get a life you jobsworth pricks, go and harass the away fans instead like 99% of the stewards do at the other stadiums in England. Anyway on to the football, I made the point back in September that LDJhechat:censored: was a conman, the problem with a lot of you guys is, you have tunnel vision with him, mainly due to the charm offensive he went on when he was appointed, half of the saps on here nearly climaxed because they got to have a brew with the manager, that was it then he bought his first season and if the occasional poster/fan dared to criticise him they were immedietly shot down. The problem with tunnel vision of course, is that all other rationale goes out of the window, and the sufferer can only see what they want to see, and will not consider another view, it's like a friendly version of a dictator, as all his sheep blindly follow him. At the tail end of November, early December, all I heard on here or Twitter, by journo's and by fans, was this amazing unbeaten run we was on, 9 games or something, and how despite losing to fourth division Chesterfield in the JPT we were still unbeaten, absolutely pathetic, in those 9 games, we drew 5 of the unbeaten games and most of them came in the cup, usually against lower division teams, or lower placed teams. Now we are back to the Dickov era, with shocking home form which will more than likely will see us down after a number of years narrowly avoiding that fate, he can't seem to fathem out how to play at home, we can't score, and his signings have been pretty poor. I said as I left the ground that even when we've been crap in the past we always had a Gregan or Eyres or Sheridan with that bit of oomph, what we have now, is a bunch of kids who are staring at the headlights in the road, Millar and JCH up front, 19 and 22, defenders ijn their early 20's, teenage midfielders, but no one to lead them, the captain himself is only 22 (as superb as he's been he's know Duxbury in terms of leadership) We also miss a creative midfielder, Smith is nearly a defender, and Mellor i'm afraid is not up to standard, compare him to Wellens or Kilkeeny or Liddell etc. For me questions I aired back in September, still haven't been answered, such as players playing out of positions, or not being replaced, still sticking with David off Emmerdale in net, not appointing an experienced coach, signing the Latvian with the fans cash, then stating he was for the future, then gave him a one year deal, what a waste of our cash. BUT, not signing that experienced defender at the start and persevering with Mellor at CB for so long was poor, the key was a couple of experienced players and he failed to do that, in fact I don't even think he tried. Also the poor way the Rusnak issues were handled, and how we've gone back for Plummer, who isn't up to scratch but it looks like we've taken him just to keep sweet with City, again poor. And finally, Lanzoni has gone, after two games a blind man could see he was worth extending till the end of the season, we :censored:ed about and now a decent L1 player has left on a free after 3 months.
  10. I've just been to Greggs, had two sausage rolls, finish work in 45 minutes or so....... jeez talk about life stories with Piers Morgan.
  11. Yeah it is my choice so pipe down, i can't believe you'd wanna go, to see an 8-0 loss whilst being told to sit down every 2 mins but thats your choice, i'm actually quite annoyed that Walsall has been postponed as that would have been a better day out.
  12. ok 8-0, Suarez will be chomping at the bit. Am on a hiding to nothing here, most are looking forward to it and will attend the game, that is your choice, I hope you enjoy it. A small minority can't be fecked with it, and will give it a miss, also their choice, we're all winners.
  13. I wouldn't say i'm Le mis just because I can't be arsed going to a football game, one that will mean I'll have to queue in the cold and rain and wind for 4 hours again and watch us get beat 6-0, and at a stadium I didn't particularly enjoy going to two seasons ago. Plus, Carlisle's a decent away day, especially this year with it being the last away of the season. There will be a good turn out and no Bovis crew, United and City fans, and fans that used to go before the Lookers was knocked down and who didn't go Wolves and Mansfield, but did Liverpool. So yeah, looking forward to that one. ;-)
  14. We've been given less because the severely restricted view tickets are not being sold, which is a bonus, as i was on second to back row last time and it was an horrendous experience, would rather have not been there, couldn't see the nets the ground, got told to sit down by the chap behind me, mate am looking at the underneath of the upper tier, there's nothing to see etc...... anyway am not bothering this time around, if it would have been someone new, like Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, United, Newcastle, but can't really be bothered with this one. Hope we still a good number though, = better atmosphere and more cash in the clubs coffers.
  15. Adam's scored 7 goals this season, and only 2 have been from the penalty spot, against Carlisle and Mansfield. He's one of those players that will make an absolute gem of a run and our players never find him, the game they did and it really worked was Port Vale, where he bagged 2 superb poachers efforts, if those types of balls were delivered on a regular basis, he'd have double the amount he has by now. We've got to stop thinking he's a traget man, he's not, in fact he's not even that big, and he has no pace so dont play through balls to him, simply get the ball into the 6/10 yard area and he will bag for fun, rocket science it is not.
  16. I hope you're wrong, a 0-0 will be a drag...... I usually bet on BTTS, it's come in 19/28 times in all competitions this season.
  17. Under estimate Col U all you want, fact of the matter is, we just don't beat them, plus we always alex balls it up when more fans turn up. Just looked and in the last 16 games against Col U, our record is W2 D9 L5. Safe to say it has 1-1 all over it.
  18. Was gonna say this from the start but just flicked through to see if anyone else had put it, it was a league game, sure it was october ish 2003. Poggers saved a pen IIRC as well.
  19. Thanks, I'm not sure how this player has escaped my attention, I really don't remember him, in fact i've never heard of him.
  20. I've asked before.....but who bagged the second then against Perugia?
  21. Personally, I like banter, i've been out with a few friends, and the banter started as soon as we met up, couldn't stop laughing at some of the banter that was flying about. We all boarded the banter bus.
