  1. When I saw it live, I though he was unlucky because he slipped whilst making the tackle. But having seen the replay, it's clear he was going in for the studs up lunge way before he slipped. All the more stupid because he didn't even need to make a tackle.
  2. I sat behind the referee's assessor today and, whilst on the whole he defended the referee, he did admit we should have had a free kick then. I thought Crofts sending off was harsh but Shez thought it was fair, so can't really complain about that.
  3. Was clear this morning. I had no trouble at all. May be it will be busy later.
  4. If you come off at the junction to go North on the M6, there is a fork off to the left before it reaches the M6 carriageway which is the exit for Lymm and South Warrington. Take that exit and you can join the M6 southbound from the roundabout there.
  5. Their timing could be better. On the same day they got front page coverage in the Chron with their old name.
  6. They've been taken down from Little Wembley. May be Corney offered them to him as part of his settlement ?
  7. I agree. Think it will be the current bottom 3 and Gillingham that go down.
  8. I got us finishing 19th on 49 points, with Coventry, Chesterfield, Port Vale and Gillingham going down.
  9. mmm. From what I've heard, not too may Kilmanock fans agree with him on that. I work with one who reckons that, after only staying up through winning a play off, and then having a bad start to this season, he was only a game or 2 away from getting the sack. It's only the last couple of months that the pressure on him has eased with a few decent results. Their current position of 6th is a bit deceptive too. They are only 4 points above the relegation play off spot and 19 points behind 2nd place. There are not too many Kilmarnock fans who are annoyed by the fact he's no longer their manager, it's more the manner and the timing of his departure, and the club he has left for that upsets them.
  10. Fans set up petition to get Johnson sacked: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/disgruntled-bristol-city-fan-sets-up-petition-calling-for-head-coach-lee-johnson-to-be-sacked/story-30138847-detail/story.html
  11. It's been a remarkable fall from grace for him this year. Having been our captain and talisman last year he might well be a National League player in 3 months time.
  12. Yeah. There was another attempt at humour in that column too. He said that work on the completion of the North Stand would re-commence very shortly.
  13. Asked a Kilmarnock supporting work colleague about him this morning. His recollection is that he was fast and tricky but the end product wasn't always great. Said he had a tendency to deliver a poor final ball or delay the cross too long at times. Also mentioed that he often started game very brighlty but faded away second half.
  14. Doesn't have to happen today as he had his contract cancelled. WE may leave it until Friday to save a few quid.
  15. Partick Thistle interested in taking Erwin apparently.
  16. Spot on. We're often very quick on here to say the opposition were crap so we should have beaten them. But you have to give Bradford some credit today. They moved the ball about at pace really well.
  17. In my experience he's normally quite careful not to appear critical of the club. I think it's quite significant that he has on this occassion.
  18. I can't post tweets on this PC but perhaps someone who can, can post some of Matt Chambers recent tweets on here. He is clearly supporting Keegan on this one. Says he doesn't know what the club's issue with the article is and that the emotive statement reflects badly on the club.
  19. I'm not so sure this is about the Chinese having pulled out as most seem to be assuming. It sounds to me more about Scholes being upset about the story of him being 'used' to help sell the club. I'm intrigued by Keegan's 'Brassbank' special. Sounds like the gloves are off now between him and the club.
  20. I love the first line of the Chron article today. It's as though they've come up with a world exclusive, even though everyone has been talking about it for 48 hours. "ATHLETIC are courting investment from millionaire Chinese businessman Martin Lee, the Chronicle can reveal." http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/10/oldham-athletic-news/101820/chinese-link-to-latics
  21. Watched it back a few times and the guy the ref appears to point at when awarding the penalty is the one marking McClaughlin as the ball comes back in.
  22. As someone else said, there were definitely 2 Chinese guests in the Boardoom yesterday. And one of the guys who works in matchday hospitality in the North stand told me that was the reason the game was free - to show them a good atmosphere and why Scholes had put on a training session in the afternoon (apparently they are United fans). I saw something on twitter suggesting that one of them was Martin Lee, who owns Newcastle Jets in Australia, but have no idea if that is true or not.
  23. I thought that too. But I was in Belfast the week before Christmas and picked up a copy of the Belfast Telegraph in the hotel bar. It had a big article on our performance analyst, Conor Marlin, in which he mentioned that he reported to O'Driscoll. I found that quite strange, even with Robinson still in position.
  24. I don't have any concerns about his ability as a coach or the way he left, but the corruption allegations worry me. The police investigation in to this is still ongoing. The difference between Wright and Allardyce is that the police have written to Allardyce informing him he is no longer part of the investigation. Tommy is the main focus of it according to the Telegraph. I worry that, if we employ him, the next scandal the club is involved in I'd the police turning up to training to arrest him.
