Thought Kelly came across ok to be honest. Still getting used to the Martin McGuiness #legend quote but I am told the term legend is often used to say thanks in Ireland rather than a legend that you idolise. Bought my season ticket for next season today so hopefully the new management team will be a success. Got to say Barry Owen looked quite menacing sat there, one step out of line from the assembled press and he would fly into action.

My tells me Barlow was inteviewed but got cut from the final list when he mentioned he had an Oldham pro licence that insisted on pudding on a muffin for the pre match meal !

Think TP will be staying just like Holden. It was obvious weeks ago that there was going to be a place for Holden at the club, talk of signing Woodland, planning for pre-season friendlies and the release of Kusunga. All this from a guy that could have been out of a job yesterday afternoon. I think Corney stopped listening to the fans after he binned Ronnie Moore and then later decided he had made a mistake. He only bottled the potential signing of Ched Evans when threats where made to the club.

No wonder they had the open day before announcing this. I've always backed Corney but this decision stinks. I hope my team succeeds but I won't be offering Kelly any encouragement whatsoever. Any success we get will be the clubs, any applause will go to the players and not that ira supporter!

I can picture the fyc chanting no surrender to the ira after we are 0-0 at ht in our first home game. Kelly must be numb posting stuff like this if he has a desire to progress in the game. Maybe he is Barry Owen latest project on working in the community!

Didnt we have something like 100 applicants ? Those four names dont inspire much confidence do they ? If Holden had never played for us there is a strong chance that most fans would have never heard of any of these guys.

The quote of "best ever applicants" is a joke if we got down to picking between Holden, Ashworth, Yates and Kelly.

Didnt think it was, your point is correct though. I'm sure the club know or should I say they are quite certain that they will shift a certain amount of season tickets even if they put Barry Owen in charge. With this in mind they will appoint a managerial team who will work to a rigid financial structure.

Been going for 35 years and im in it until the end. Common sense says it would be better to go elsewhere but we know that is not going to happen for a lot of the hardcore support.

Not impressed by Kelly if he is indeed the new manager, but will still be buying a ticket for next season. Dont like the fact that Holden who is basically a rookie is the assistant to a full blown rookie. Massive gamble by Corney and will probably have an impact on season ticket sales.

Myself and a friend went down tonight to see what facilities would be like for wheelchair users in the new stand. After asking a few questions we where not given that encouraging answer due to the people we spoke to did not know what was happening regarding facilities for the disabled. We where advised to speak to people who where giving help regarding season tickets and things did improve then. One negative point was there appears to be only 6 elevated wheelchair places that are available on a match day basis (four of these have already been sold), there are others but I think they are attached to the exec boxes. I think there are 17 wheelchairs bays are ground level so while these are going to be exposed to the weather there are now plenty of wheelchair spaces when you combine them with the rre. The club have made a great decision to not sell the back two rows of seats in the rre (unless we draw somebody like united in the cup etc), this will eradicate the viewing problem when people stand up and block the view. We got this info after speaking to Mark Moisley who was very positive and encourage us to give him a call if we could think of any other ideas on how the club could make things better. Hopefully the new stand will be the catalyst for an improved matchday experience for supporters in all the home ends.

Think Rochdale have the large section and small section open to disabled and wheelchair users.

I think it's a natural instinct to try and tighten up the defence. Leaking goals like crazy doesn't give you the urge to go all out attack. However I have never been impressed with one up front formation.

I think it really is bad to be honest. The timing of Johnsons departure was terrible and now this massive injury pileup has made things look dodgy indeed. It has got to the stage where you are struggling to see where the points are going to come from. We seem incapable of scoring more than a single goal and we are leaking goals like no tomorrow. Feel sorry for Holden because he does not have many options to try and find some form.

Granted they have the money to make a quick decision, my point is we have had around 5 weeks to get something sorted. Surely all the applicants we have recieved didnt want a wage that was out of our reach ?

We are quickly reaching the point where we are looking at the remaining fixtures and scratching our heads trying to see any games where we are certain to gain 3 points. The form has gone out of the window with Johnson's departure, a crippling injury list and the shambolic management by the board. I despair when you think that Sunderland pulled the plug on Poyet on Monday and installed the new guy within 24 hours. They realise they are in the brown stuff and acted to try and stop the freefall towards the championship. Corney and co must have known for the best part of Five weeks that Johnson could well be on his way and yet all we get is a delayed installation of Holden. If they thought Dean was the man for the job like they say he is then why was he not instantly put in charge ? People on the board should have skills to help guide the club but from what I can see Owen has nothing in his locker other than a unique talent of annoying the fanbase. It really is time that the board come clean and let us know exactly what the plan is for us. If we are getting a new name in the summer and its a done deal then at least let us know. We dont expect the target to be named but at the moment it feels like we are all aboard the Titanic and heading full steam towards the bloody iceberg !!

On paper this game had a Barnsley win written all over it but it just doesnt sit well with me betting against your own team.

Exactly, for some reason this stand is being bigged up so much its unreal. Granted it should bring in extra revenue but is it going to suddenly give us a much bigger playing budget ? The product on the pitch will dictate the numbers in any of our stands and sadly it appears we are going to hit the season ticket sales on a downward spiral.

Didnt Joe Royle recommend Sharp and Penney !

Im talking about Baxter, Tarky and Korey Smith being the better players. I am sure if J ames Wilson's early season form had continued he would have been followed.

It seems the only thing we can keep hold of these days is Barry Bloody Owen !! Any decent players head for the exit door to fund the new stand and now it looks like LJ is off. Another example of why the lost fans cannot be tempted back because it just always seems to be a one step forward and two steps back situation.

I believe latics dont make anything on the extra revenue that is taken at the refreshments area. This is a real downer on the cheap promotion games because that is one area where people do spend cash that would make it easier to offer more discount tickets. Saying after today its hard to see many wanting to return cheap ticket or not.

Didnt Preston complain about the bad lighting when we played them in the jpt ? Think Latics also mentioned they have had discussions with the league about the situation.
