  1. I think this decision is probably a financial one but I do beleive that the cretins who give it the large in the RRE to away fans have contributed to Leeds being given all the stand.
  2. Well the drummer stands at the back of the Rocky annoying the :censored: out of the disabled fans who cannot move anywhere else. I think the club need to get a grip and put the drummer in the bloody lookers because he cheesed me off bigtime yesterday and put a major dampener on a great performance by the team. We dont need a drum for a atmosphere, if the team play well people get into it and if the team turn in a crap performance the fans react to it.
  3. There is only one thing to do then and that is the TTA need to get the cheque book out and get Joey Barton in pronto This must be a winner and will guarantee brawls on and off the pitch.
  4. Yes I think I would because your career will only go one way if you go through the motions. Surely the idea is the run your nuts off in the time you get and force the manager into a position where he cannot leave you on the bench.
  5. I would be backing Smalley all the way if he looked like he was interested , sadly the odd showing from the subs bench does nothing to make me think he is ready to take Liddell's place. Smalley has got the ability but maybe he is to busy basking in the fact that he is a professional footballer ?
  6. I'm sure Boshell singed a 4 year deal once when the club thought he was going to be the natural successor to Shez
  7. Sounds like I was feeling like your brother and was ready to let rip but the whole showing was so lacklustre I could not be bothered. With Liddell at the end of his career this should be the prime time for Dean to step up to the plate but his total lack of interest was abysmal on Saturday.
  8. Or maybe break into a version of Leonard Cohen's Hallalujah when Dean Smalley looks slightly interested in being a professional footballer.
  9. The club have been informed years ago about the viewing position in the Rochdale Rd end and opted to do nothing about it. There are Two other areas in the ground that are available for use, One in the Lookers stand with half a roof and the front of the Chaddy. Both of these areas leave you pretty much wide open to the weather and of course the Orient game was wet although nothing like the heavy rain that was forecast. Therefore we are left with the option of seeing that game from the Lookers but getting drenched in the process, this might happen to able bodied fans on their travels to various grounds around the country but it is not acceptable to be offered these options from you own club. Can you imagine the uproar if the club decided to rip the roof off the Chaddy and when the complaints came rolling in they just basically told the fans to like it or lump it ? In many ways after years of supporting the club I have become resigned to this kind of treatment it feels like the disabled fan is a long way down the pecking order when it comes to keeping the paying punter happy.
  10. They are probably the regulars who go week in week out
  11. Well only missed both pens due to the standers . That is one bonus of crap games there is not much for people to get exicted about.
  12. Hi all Just a quick request to everyone who will be sitting in the Rochdale road end tomorrow. Please can fans remember that the wheelchair users at the back of the stand cannot see the game when people stand up. There should be a lot more people in the ground tomorrow and it would really be appreciated if people can try and limit the time that they stand. Thanks
  13. Tell that to the TTA'S !!! We have blown it bigtime tonight and god knows what Corney will think when he hears the attendence for tonights game. The loss of cup revenue can only increase the odds of Taylor departing during the season.
  14. I think Walsall did insist on that clause but it doesnt mean it was a great decision by us does it ? By all means get Ricketts out of the club but surely the deal would not have collapsed on him being unable to play in one game ?
  15. The last time Shez gambled like his was when he fired Ricketts of to Walsall and was so stubborn he reckoned we did not need to worry about him playing against us. Well we all know what happened when Ricketts came back to bp dont we ? I think the decision to let both Davies and Ogrady cuptie themselves is an absolute joke.
  16. Just uploaded some pics to my flickr site of the game yesterday against Huddersfield. Latics v Huddersfield Town
  17. The thing is the treatment of the disabled fans has not been upto scratch for a long time to be honest. The RRE was built years ago and right from the word go the viewing problems existed and the club took the view of its to late to do anything about it. Luckily we still had the area in the Lookers that was raised, gave a decent view and was covered within reason so you did not get drenched on a matchday. The roof from the Lookers area was removed through one of two reasons, 1 - due to the weather it needed replacing and I guess cost was a factor in this not happening or 2 - Punters in the exec box complained that they could not see the corner flag infront of them so part of thr roof was removed. Now picture the scene that some corporate suits complained about the Chaddy roof and asked for part of it to be removed so they could see, I reckon the club would refuse because they would be on the recieving end of a torrent of complaints. Come on Latics lets get a grip and try and treat the disabled with a bit more thought. I agree though the if the back Two rows of seats where blocked of from use it would make a massive difference.
  18. I am sure Alan's view on the disabled spectator problem will not be welcomed by the clubs wheelchair users. The thought of going through this season and more than likely next year aswell looking at the back of supporters heads is down right naff. The only real prospect of viewing games in full is if we lose all form and the supporters drift away leaving big gaps in the RRE. At the end of the day this club should be providing us with a decent view of the game and sadly it looks like they have just passed the buck and said we canot do anything for a year or two!! Not happy at all but to be honest after attending home games for 25 years the response from the club is quite predictable.
  19. The viewing position for wheelchair users is the same in both the large and small sections of the RRE. The positives for disabled fans are very good car parking behind the stand and easy access to the refreshment area and toilets. At present the only other option for wheelchair users is the Chaddy road end and this view is not fantastic, is exposed to the weather and I am told that no toilets are available now that the Lookers has bit the dust. My friend said to me at the Millwall game that this season was going to be terrible if this game was anything to go off because at the end of the day we all want to be able to watch the game and we missed many exciting parts of the game due to people standing. I dont really blame the fans for standing to be honest because it only takes a few to stand and everyone else has to join in to keep watching the game.
  20. I am a wheelchair user and the Rochdale road end is utter tripe for people who cannot stand. It is a fact that when people get excited they stand up and the end result is myself and others are sat looking into the back of people's heads instead of watching the action. Who is to blame for this ? Well Latics could have used a bit of brain power when the stand was built and give the wheelchair users a raised platform to view the game from but they didnt and once the stand was built we found ourselves with a like it or lump it situation. One can only hope that if and when the new stand gets built we will be given some decent facilities because the ones on offer are quite poor to be honest.
  21. I will go with Lags and say £350000 plus good bonus's
  22. Terrible news, goodnight and godbless Ernie you will never be forgotten.
  23. The lad can practice all he wants but to be honest I think the fans would not like the drum even if it was played by some professional like Phil Collins or Cozy Powell !
  24. I have been in the RRE for years now and remember clearly a visit from Sheff Wed a few years back. The Tyke drummer bashed his drum for all he was worth and believe me that after 30 minutes or so my ears where bloody killing me even though we where sat in the small section for that game. Personally I dont want the drum and it seems more people dont want it that do.
