Preston will play ugly and harry us and put pressure on us and wont be scared to route one it and try and over power us what ever why they can. We have to be physically and mentally ready for that we need 11 players prepared to go in and hard win the ball and then find a blue shirt with it. Instead of hiding from possesion or sitting to deep and inviting preston on to us. We have decent attacking players but we have to earn the right for them to have the ball. Tomorrow we have to be prepared to battle and this team oddly doesnt seem to like that

Probably because of how bad we were under Penny. Dire football and acceptance that we were a small team with no money who should just let the big teams walk over us. Dickov for his faults has got us some decent wins and got us competitive against the better teams in the division on our day, wins over Hudds and Sheff united in the last few seasons. He’s also made some decent signings. for all his positivity thought he doesn’t seem to motivate players and we seems a soft side when i was a kid under the likes of Royle if we took the lead we usually won the game under PD a goal against usually means we are probably at best going to get a draw. I think we wait till xmas and see where we are if we are in the bottom 4 its probably time to part ways, if we are mid table and looking like we are improving then we should keep him.

Dont think he started that badley... Obviosuly not fit but has produced some decent crosses and hit the wood work a few tmes. Looks a good attacking winger with a good touch. Taylor was a good player but struggled on the left towards the end of his time with us...

I think Grounds is Paul Black V1.2 Bit bigger physically, bit faster, bit better in the air but still poor on the ball (count how many times he passes the ball to the opposition) so no real improvement. Jury still out for me - if hes on more than Black that we have dropped a bit of a clanger cause he doesnt offer that much more

This..... as someone said the other week his a decent footballer on his day but he doesnt excel in anyone position he is not an out and out forward. and we are not getting the best out of him at the moment he also seemed really slow today for some reason, maybe just cos the county players were all fairly mobile. He needs benching for a bit tho he was poor today and the pen summed it up.

poor, slow on and off the ball - no urgency and we are awful at the back no one attacks crosses. after that Croft worked his arse off to try and create something and the new signings both looked good we have to tighten up at the back tho - id be happy with Bouzanis in net for a few week

This might be an bit of an off thing to say but I wonder if it’s an age thing. Lots our fans are starting to knock on abit and maybe while being die hard supports - aren’t as vociferous as some of the young folk are? I’m not having a go here I’m just throwing something out there…. My biggest issue is that everyone sits so far away from each other the atmosphere never really build just one or two people. I dont want him sacked im sick of changing managers every 2 minutes i want some stability thats said we were a beaten team before kick off yesterday 4-5-1 with no out and out forward and a week midfield, its plain to me that most of our youth players just arent good enough, most are too small and poor technically and stevenage were a poor side they worked hard but they didnt have much quality and yet we never really looked like having a go at them. Its fairly obvious that if we dont get some wins on the board he will probably get the sack - as you point out we tend to fade away as the season drags on so we need points on the board now - but will it get worse and we end up with another Dave Penny??? Fingers crossed we get some wins soon and the pressure will ease

Agreed he got off a couple of decent chances and made some good runs but didnt get the ball. Showed some good tocuhes as well. I do think he doesnt look as quick as we were led to belive. He seems pacy but not electric in the wayne andrews/Jermaine Johnson scheme of things

i think Furman and Wes are an excellent combination in the middle - furman keeps us going and has good work rate and is woth a goal of two. he dropped a clanger tonight and it cost us 3 poinys but there are bigger problems than him Smith i agree start him for 5 - 6 games and see what he contributes - rather than throwing him in late on the season when we are scrapping for points
