  1. Please stop showing this highly disturbing picture. It puts me off my food>
  2. I don't want free kids - I've enough of my own!!
  3. ...or if the turnstile doors were painted a different shade of blue...
  4. Three months!! No way. I'm not waiting that long. I have frustrations to vent. For me, if he doesn't choose the right holiday destination then that's it - he'll have to go. Spain - tacky, totally lacking ambition. Italy - touch of class.
  5. I'll guess because it's something i've though about. Was it Stam and Trotman or Hazell? Was the defense tighter (statistically) with Stam than Gregan? Only guessing but, oh dear, I'm off before i get l get lynched. Roll on lovers of the fat arse...
  6. i can honestly say that some of the above have surprised me, but that's the age factor and I'm obviously really, really old. Each to his/her own. For me Goram Irwin Jobson Futcher Barrett Ward Henry Redfearn Groves Ritchie (god no.1) Stainrod (god no.2) subs Warhurst Palmer Holden Milligan Bunn What a subs bench!!!
  7. Just a thought on the great Liddell debate. I remember when Donachie and Vic Halom could no longer quite keep up with th epace. Both finished in the middle and both were superb for short spells. They had technical ability and vision. Does Liddell not fit the bill? A useful squad payer with better technical ability than many in this division.
  8. Only one for me..Queen's 'we are the Champions my friends..'
  9. Yes, i meant players still playing, yes I meant Andy Hughes who started off in midfield and yes it could include Danny Hall (who I rated) but NO to that lanky streak at Stalybridge. Oh, and if you don't include Haining then you really are stretching a point, and what the hell has an accent got to do with it. We have got youth players from elsewhere - Oh, Mr. Fin, by your reckoning Eardley is not a youth player because he is born and bred in Llandudno while Tipton with his fluent Welsh (from Bangor) was clearly brought in from elsewhere ie Bangor U15s, therefore he wasn't one of ours.
  10. Do you realise if it was possible to sign (disragrding unrealistic signings like Richards) Gerrard, Holt, Hughes, Haining (or even Futcher) and Vernon we could have a team of homegrowns that reads: Gerrard Eardley, Haining, Holt, Lomax Smalley, Hughes, Allot, Taylor Vernon, Alice Not sayig I necessarily want them all back, but iit s a testimony to our continuing youth developmentover the years.
  11. Could you remind us of the lyrics?
  12. Having spent 10 years here in Wales I an honestly say that all those things people say about the Welsh are grounded in a great deal of truth - it's like being surrounded by Masons - but the scenery is very pleasant.
  13. You obviously need a prozac. I'll stick my nose wherever i want- -this is England/Wales, land of the free, but not free from the ignorant. And there is nothing wrong with this fine principality. Oh, and if you want to praise the false/foreign saint then that is also your right.
  14. Anyway, to interupt. why celebrate St. George. Wasn't he Turkish or Lebanese or such like. And what's that rubbish about a dragon I think we should switch to St. Bede!!! Oh, and for the record i think it's great round here. When i wake up I have a fantastic view of mountains and sea...oh, sorry, i live in Wales!!
  15. 'twas ever thus. Spencer, Brown, Harrison..and for the latter we were in a higher division. A nice fee with a nice sell on clause is all we have ever been able to ask for in the real world.
  16. Yes, he sounds great, but good grief, I feel very old. He looks about early 20s. I'm off on a mid life crisis!!!
  17. God, we've all been there. I don't know which is worst sometimes, stress or work or going home to your 'refuge' only to find even more stress!! Still, there always BP to ...I'm off.
  18. Keep him. He isn't as good as when he first joined us, but his injuries (and confidence) may have taken their toll. I actually think that sometimes it looks like it's his fault but he has been exposed by the lack of cover from midfield. The defense hasn't been that bad this season and he would still be useful cover.
  19. Yes, he is joking!!! The clue was in the...well the whole thing.
  20. With Neville past his best and Brown on his way out, it certainly makes sense. How much would they get?
  21. You are right Robinson, but am I the only one who feels it can be very frustrating. It gives me the feeling that we're constantly patching and never building. A postmodern nightmare of fragmentation and displacement! That's it! The loan system is a postmodern solution to the postmodern game. Right, I'm off for a lie down.
  22. Goalie, left-back, centre back (replace Thompson - he makes me very nervous), left wing, centre midfield and centre forward. We're all more or less in agreement, BUT please limit the loanees. If we have to have any then they should be talented Premier youngsters who will stay for the season. We have a very young squad as it is and we have had a revolving door on the front for too long. I can clearly see the benefit of bringing in the odd one for the season providing they're really good quality, as quality counts and is hard to come by in this division in any other form. But, no more than one or two, PLEASEEEEEEEE.
  23. How about none of the above but trying one of those imaginative schemes at Bradford, Port Vale and Huddersfield?
