  1. I wake up in the morning and kiss Andy Ritchie's head. Then it is hours later and he runs on the pitch and lobs the Leeds keeper from besides the linesman. Then the game finishes with us extending our unbeaten record with a 2-0 win. Then we go back to mine and make passionate love with each other. Then I awake and realise. It was Barnsley we were playing.
  2. I agree. Top four divisions in each country . So Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast. Does Londonderry?
  3. Not sure why anyone in the Labour party would want anything other than Corbyn. If you want what the other three have to offer just vote Tory.
  4. If you are going in the colosseum, avoid the queues by buying the ticket at Palatine Hill (it is a joint ticket for these and the Forum no matter where you buy it). That is all my pointless Roman knowledge.
  5. I'm beginning to think I can see the weak spot in this bet.
  6. At least 15 goals? Blimey, that is what he scored last year - with his massively out of character (for his career) purple patch. Two goals since November, if you look at the other end of the scale.
  7. Still shouldn't have stopped it. It's cycling not F1.
  8. Young Fathers (including watching them last night so they are constantly in my head now)...
  9. ...Northern League team wins again. Six of the last seven finals now (and runner up in the other).
  10. You'd still fancy them with their fixtures to get out of it. Reading at home and Leeds anywhere are two pretty good games to have when the chips are down. Wigwam with Wolves and Brentford aren't great (I guess it depends on whether the season is still on for Brentford) and Millwall similarly so with Derby and Wolves.
  11. Not fussed too much. Don't want Boro up to the top division. Desperate for Wigwam to get relegated. Don't want Luton to come up. Want both Tranmere and Hartlepuddle to go down - but Tranmere more so. Would rather Bristol Rovers came up, though Grimsby wouldn't be too bad.
  12. Isn't that his point though? That they aren't doing that? They are sacking a middle manager that they can replace with better (in their opinion). If this is what Brentford are doing, they must look at the fixation with managers/coaches with hilarity. Well, unless they are wrong.
  13. I think it was because Blackpool picked up no points from the game. You can't be seen to benefit from playing the player I guess (see Hartlepool being docked points against Brighton before then). The only one that sticks out is the Sunderland one when they played one in about five games and made a Wembley final on the back of their cheating. Though most of that was the Premier League rather than the Football league, and it was MK that missed out in the cup, so I think that is fair enough. Division 3 could be very Northern looking next season. Rotherham, Wigan, Blackpool, Dale, Fleetwood, Barnsley, Badfud, Doncaster, Scunny, Vale, Crewe, Sheff Utd/Chesterfield, possibly Preston yet, Shrews, Bury, Burton (alright, pushing the Northern bit there).
  14. Seems a bit arse about that. Rather than have them next to the coaches where they can be herded in and out with no problems, make them walk through the whole of the home crowd.
  15. Three black managers now. 3.3% of football league clubs. Black or Black British population of Britain 3.5%. That's as near to a correct representation as you could get. Now female or gay managers. Well, that is another thing.
  16. I don't as I feel my judgement is clouded. 33/1 to go down. Just saying.
  17. Ooh I have teeth falling out dreams all the time. Anxiety dreams they supposedly are. Bloody Oldham. I had a dream the other day that I had too large a delivery of lever arch files. And one where I bled from above the eyebrows. Dull as mid table obscurity!
  18. The game of cricket finished with England at number one in the World and Lancashire as County Champions. The game was deemed complete. Not sure why anyone is still watching/playing.
  19. Yes, I think the operative word is cheap in both wages and getting hold of them. I don't think Hassellbaink is that far out of reach, but he is new to the job and it's a bit much to judge managers on half a season. Darrell Clarke at Brizzle Rovers seems to be doing a decent job (and did at Salisbury).
  20. I wouldn't mind Scholes as a director (i.e. to give us his money). But why would anyone want him as a manager? Soft natured, unqualified (in license terms {not certain, but can't remember seeing him get them}) and a prominent player for the team most of our fans dislike.
  21. Arrive early, park on the street and in the right direction. Or take a paper. The ground car park is a mare to get out of.
  22. The move follows a major sponsor saying it would withdraw funding if Oldham completed the signing of the convicted rapist.
