  1. Radio 5 Extra said they'd have commentary too. I'll be watching that on Sky.
  2. Hamid karzai - Afghan hot seat Bashar al Assad - Syrian nut job Wael Nader al-Halqi - Syrian second in command nut job Lindsey Lohan - seems up for the cause Fats domino - face it, you thought he was dead Edward furlong - junkie Charlie sheen - see Lohan Lil Wayne - rap & smack Frankie Muniz - Malcolm in the middle plot - captain Kareem Abdul jabbar - basketball player Death of the prince: 20th August
  3. It counts. They may never move back. It does lead to the question of which is the worst ground of the two to go to. As they are both godawful.
  4. Exeter away tells me you can get on a plane pretty hammered.
  5. I think they'll try to keep it as small team at home to 'big' team. You'd expect Boreham Wood v Carlisle to be on. Worcester/Lincoln v Plymouth, Hednesford v Crawley, Gloucester v Fleetwood, etc. are the types you'd think they would also pick. It is whether they chase viewing figures for a big team, but as mentioned by others, you'd hope not really.
  6. I'd imagine if drawn there it will be switched to another ground (at Billingham Synthonia maybe). West Auckland however, would certainly (first European champions and all that) be on telly and can hold games at theirs. Unlikely to matter as neither are very likely to progress.
  7. <cough>Harry Bunn</Cough> I'm with Adam, the City youngsters being lent out to this level are crap, and don't stick a chance in hell of making it at City's level*. *They may get the odd league cup/Chumpions league run out when it doesn't matter, but I'd be stunned if any made it to anything near first team level on a consistent basis.
  8. I'm tracked at work too. It's what happens when you have just one crafty wank in the toilets.
  9. I think the important things to take from this are that the lord and masters of the game have yet to agree to penalise its own for this tax. I'd be surprised if they ratify it. And as far as I can see, none of the money leaves Division 2. So it is just an attempt by people like that Bolton fellow to grasp at more money.l.
  10. If I found a wallet in our end I'd hand in the money and keep the wallet. My 1998 OAFC leather(ish) one is looking a little tattered nowadays.
  11. Singh. Bristol City (1-1) away. Positive discrimination in action. Not especially against us. Just utter garbage.
  12. Half a million is nothing. It's not great. The incoming (people) surveys make population projections a nightmare. We don't know where they are going to live, how long they are stopping for, etc. And when they are leaving is just unknown. As for the Census, which I guess they are on about, BMEs don't respond in the same numbers as White people. That gets allocated for, (incorrectly in my view) at great money for London.
  13. As for the stats, it'll be pretty accurate. Pregnancy levels are known, crime levels are known (if slightly altered), immigration we have a fair idea about (coming in, not going out), benefits are about right (we used to say £10 of your monthly wage went to fraud when I worked there)... As for the 1000 people doing the survey, that makes it +/-3%. So not bad, enough that it says people are wrong.Though the weighting lowers that, but still not terribly inaccurate.
  14. Greeeegan!!! Just for leaving that forward on his arse in the rain at Gillingham.
  15. Yes, stand up. Frankfurt was mental when I went, though it was Bayern in a night game, so the atmosphere was probably better than normal. Don't despair if their home games don't fit in with your schedule. Just pick another team nearby and go on the train. Rail fares are free with the football ticket (Not ICE trains though, so if it is a distance it could take a bit longer) {- though I'd check this is still the case}. And there are loads of big clubs in that part of Germany.
  16. I had no problem with the track either. It's a good ground for atmosphere (well it is in Germany). Though I think I may have overdone it when I went to watch the reserves play.
  17. Dogs like nothing more than sticking their head out of the car window...
  18. I thi k they should delay the ban until the end of the fantasy football season.
  19. Bastard and the wolves for hilarity value. Rovrum as I haven't been there yet. Maybe Burton as it is an awfully good pee up.
  20. No minute's silence for anything other than ex-players or something specific to the town. That means 'no' to political figures, royalty, murdered kids in Hull, long term fans, thousands in an office block on the other side of the World or Sid the bloody car park attendant (Port Vale). Minute's silence/applause mean nothing. They are devalued due to overuse. We may as well have one before every game for everyone that has died that week in the World and have done with it.
  21. They've had it in Brazil for ages now. I think the linesman does it there instead of the ref though. Alternative method for me would to be to just book anyone (and everyone) drifting forward, no warnings and arguing. They'd soon learn when six players get booked in a second.
