    Only took you 17 posts to get there. Same. Always want England to do well but it doesn't have the same place in my heart. Any kind of success for Latics would trump England, all day long.

    It shouldn't have needed saying but this thread's going that way isn't it. Obviously if there were objections to a black manager solely based on colour, that'd be as ridiculous as well.

    Intentionally vague and got a few bites. "Look at me". As others as said, whether you would or wouldn't, there are definitely benefits. He's bright and 'no-nonsense' enough for me to think he'd be a good shout.

    Decent considering. If we're doing well, home support will undoubtedly go up. The stagnation of 21 years in league one was the issue. People won't be arsed we're a division below if we're 10 points clear at Christmas.
