    I think it's a smack in the chops for Roy and England. Ferdinand would have been told before the squad was announced he was to be recalled and if led to believe he knew he would be pulling out of the squad, but still let himself be put in. So for me it's a no for now and a no for the future!

    Ayr utd, I live a mile from the ground and much like Latics a small lower league club with 2 big teams from the big city close by (rangers, Celtic). You very rarely see Ayr tops around only the other 2 although I did once see the man who sells cheap toys on the street in a Latics shirt!!! How excited I got!

    They think they've got us, a division 3 team can't possibly come here and beat them, make them earn every penny of their over priced salary, make them feel like they've been in a war, empty the tanks, leave every ounce of your being on that pitch and at the end of the match give the fans another excuse to moan about the allocation of tickets for the quarter finals!     Unfortunately I feel that a majority are money driven these days, it's all about the material things in life. Long gone are the days of the youth team earning respect by cleaning the boots and stands etc. I know that doesn't make them better players but it made them look upto the senior pros and try to emulate them. These days it seems most players would rather look good than put in 100%.

    I was in the Bolton end in '94 when beckford scored, did I celebrate..... Yes I did, emotion took over, couldn't help it. Funny looking back now but at the time I nearly :censored: my pants!!!
