There isn't much going on. The Chron has to run a Latics story every day. They put the best spin they could on a couple of quotes that look clear honest and blunt to me. It's a non-story - and that's all there is to it. Not the club's fault a non story has been presented as news - but that happens at this time of year. I wouldn't read anything into it.

The report in the Irish Independent didn't specify. I'd imagine the answer is yes - but would Sheridan want him enough as his number 2 to go along with that? I doubt it.

No disrespect intended to OWTB - but when all is said and done it's just an Internet forum. So why anyone on here - or club bosses for that matter - get so upset when people disagree with them here is beyond me. I think it would be a very boring and far less entertaining place if everyone just agreed and stayed nice and friendly all the time. There are things in life that get me all upset, of course, but Internet forum comments aren't one of them.

The club that brought you the statement about a statement now pioneers the open letter about an open letter.

If someone wants to donate thousands of pounds to the club, and doesn't want it back, then fair enough for them. If someone donated much less money, and wants it back, fair enough for them too. Voicing wanting money back, or dissatisfaction about how the club has handled the money, isn't some sort of war between the fans - it's just what happens. I think it's a little bit high moral ground calling for the fans to be united - expecting all of us to have the same opinions would probably require a Kim Jong-Un takeover.

True. With us us though I always feel like calamity is just around the corner. Interesting watching others slide - it's a slippery slope. Fortunately we seem to do our slide pre January. I'd like to think that Corney etc would see and realise what a good start to the season could potentially lead to.

A hell of a lot of results going our way in recent times - it'll be great if that continues through today... looking good so far.
