  1. It's interesting looking at these type of chaps. He's 27. He played in the league for Lincoln, albeit briefly and as a 20yo. With his goalscoring record why has no-one as high as the conference leagues [levels 5 or 6] taken a punt on him - He's presently in the Evo-Stick [North] Premier [Level 7]. His previous club of note also being in Level 7 Calor Premier [south]. If he was 22 and banging them in at this rate maybe.... but a jump up to Level 3 at this stage in his career.... seems a bridge too far.
  2. I know, sorry. You get the sentiment. Any plans on trains in and out....?
  3. Now that wasn't meant to happen. I had two lovely tables for a moment there.....! Sorry!
  4. Train times, what's the preference..... [complete and total :censored:ing mess removed ]
  5. The Chron has formally listed; Goodwillie; Driver & Gregory as targets. I don't recall - other than rumours on here - that being confirmed. I guess that makes it likely Goodwillie is the individual that spawned this thread? Halifax want a fee for Gregory apparently. I appreciate we can't be throwing money we don't have about, however if we've found a few grand for the lies of Montano and JCH before, surely Gregory wouldn't cost much different. Seems worth a punt to me. Driver's fitness an issue because he's not played for a while and if Yeovil have not pursued it, you'd assume Johnson Jnr knows why from Johnson Snr?
  6. Thanks. You learn something new every day. A precursor to the modern Bosman rule. The Mannion rule!
  7. Interesting footnote. I wonder why? Also, the Oldham Shareholders' Association? When did that disappear? Is the secretary related to David Mellor?
  8. This is not new news..... it was on the fishul yesterday under the 'Monday Press Conference' article.... "I have my eye on a particular target, which may prove to be a difficult task to bring him in as there are Championship clubs interested too. More importantly I am looking towards bringing players in that will play a part over the next 18 months to two years"

  10. I was at the 5th Ashes test in Sydney in 2011 and I was tying the flag in my profile pic up and the bloke next to me tying his West Ham flag up said, do you want me to tie the other end up for ya mate, he then looked at the Latics badge and said, nah mate I ain't doing it, I was there for that 6-0. Wonder if he's at Citeh's council house tonight?
  11. Mike Keegan has tweeted deal for Goodwillie unlikely. Scrub him off the list then. Marlon King anyone?
  12. I was thinking more along the lines of us requiring support of either the PFA/FL in our disrepute stance.....!
  13. ....because he won't be able to pay our costs. £1200 per week means he won't be wealthy enough should we wish to recover them from him....!
  14. I don't expect him accept a rejection of this appeal without fighting it yet further. I fear [at least] the involvement of the PFA and/or The Football League before this can be put to bed. I just hope we don't witness involvement from an employment tribunal, or worse the UK or European courts. The cost of which would spiral way beyond that of his outstanding contract.
  15. ....someone told me yesterday that we were looking at Marlon King.... recently released by Sheff United.
  16. Interesting interview with LJ on LP. Lockwood been training with us for 4 months. Played at Guiseley because of red tape [release by Bury] he wasn't allowed to play any higher. Didn't feature at Bury much because of a hip operation. Prior to that was captain at Donny. Had him watched at Guiseley. Knows his new team mates already. You can't say LJ hasn't done his research, even if he did know him from his Yeovil days. I feel much better about it now.
  17. He surely doesn't go into a team featuring Suarez after Guisley's last game was on Boxing day against Harrogate Town. He has to be cover for Tarky and Kusunga, surely.
  18. ....to stop him helping Crawley ensure they remain firmly away from the bottom 4 in our league....?!?!?!?
  19. It has to be because the management don't fancy he'll make it. Shame really, as he appeared to be earmarked for success at one stage.
  20. Travelling back to London from up North via Northampton. See you there.....!
  21. I did a circuit Andy and couldn't see you so took an executive decision to watch it at home. Enjoy.
