  1. Let return to parent club for Iverson & Lang, means we have no choice for me. We ain’t signing either of them.
  2. Yeah. We needed to beat Norwich and Ipswich lose at Blackburn and see a 3 goal swing... and Everton to lose too. At HT, we were 1-0 up, Everton 2-0 down at home to Wimbledon and Blackburn v Ipswich was 0-0, which was how the game ended. Everton scored 3 in the 2nd half in a game that was later considered to be suspicious. We conceded in the 2nd half and it was game over.
  3. Right, can we get back to this now? Now Darren is back, are you able to push Mr. Lemsagam for a meeting ASAP?@underdog @Andy b
  4. The day we got relegated from the Premier League, result apart, was a good day out.... I remember being in a pub before the game and loads of Norwich fans wanting us to stay up and the expense of "Ipshit" as they called them......
  5. Not falling for my bait? I think all of us - yourself included - should very suspicious of him & his behaviour, until we can understand what his motives/intentions are!
  6. Yeah I know..... my reading of the situation was that the loans [only repayable if we got back to the Premier League] were granted [in a time when liquidity was easier to come by] on the basis of the land being asset stripped..... Indeed. For instance, was OAFC 2004 Ltd paying for something that it didn't end up owning? I'm sure too..... but whether those loans still exist [to OAFC 2004 Ltd from Brassbank] or were written off in exchange for ownership of the North Stand / the OEC, or to enable Corney to sell to Abdallah, or not [therefore Blitz/Gazal could get paid - in effect - twice], we'll only begin to attempt to understand through more accounts being published / the land sale going through.....?
  7. ....it goes back a long way this doesn't it? I'm sure somewhere there exists a quote from Blitz, where he says £XM. [I think it was £6m] was a loan only repayable if we ever got back into the Premier League..... but of course in reality, they had taken their £6m back already in land ownership, land development into houses, land sales to the hospital etc etc.... whether the £11.5m [as of Jun 2017] included that £6m..... or indeed whether that £6m was written off when Corney sold the club to Abdallah.... or whether it still remains in the hope they get paid twice [in effect], we will only know when future accounts get published and/or if the land sale to the fan led group goes through.....
  8. Maybe personal [earned] wealth is an indication of someone's likely [not guaranteed of course] competence. This is not to say a football club owner who isn't wealthy can't be competent, but an individual taking on a club without [earned] wealth should be treated cautiously and their motives/Plan/intentions scrutinsed. Especially one without an emotional connection to club or the area.
  9. Pressure beginning to get to some? Could be a bluff Dave. One will get lade edited/deleted late on. Mind games, to try to throw you off and take your place. 3 games to go, you've got to be wise, or cunning, or both.
  10. Superb Owner/Chairman. Oh for an individual like this to own us.
  11. No. The Chaddy End is the Home End. The Zig-a-Zag-a song fkin says so......
  12. I know.... was just speaking out aloud. Does Marco fancy swapping it back, so long as we can get some booze and food in their somehow....?
  13. The Chaddy End will always be the Home End to me Billy.
  14. I’d like someone to tell me what happened to Sohny Sefil’s loan spell at Ashton United? One assumes this is who Marco wanted to play in place of Clarke.....!?!
  15. It was more than suggested.... Scholes practically said so in his BT Sport interview. Do you not think it would be a little more difficult - without attracting more negative attention for himself - for AL to insist on it following Scholes’ departure.... and subsequently impossible given the run we’ve been on. We’ll know where they both stand/their relationship stands after the Northampton game.
  16. Notts County, 4th game of the 1994/95 season after we'd been relegated from the Premier League. Won 3-1. Sean McCarthy hat-trick. Was as sure as I could be we were going straight back up after this game. We lost the next 4 on the bounce and I went to every one.... in fact, I only missed 1 of the first 11.
  17. Bloody hell, what a shame that's so young. I remember him as a tough no-nonsense centre half. Struggled a bit on the plastic from what I remember though, not quite quick enough. Did we get him from Hull? I seem to remember us nicking a few players off them during that time. Bunn & Jobson as well.
  18. The official club Twitter account only joined Twitter on 22nd Feb 2011, which was exactly 1 week after this game. Interesting to note that there were c1,200 more home fans in for a game that cost £2 vs one that was Free. We were 7th in League One in Dickov's fist season in Feb 2011 compared to 2nd bottom v Peterborough during Shezurrection II in Jan 2017. Just shows you what could happen with on-field success. Imagine if that was coupled with good governance?
  19. We had 6,782 home fans in midweek when it was free to get in v Peterborough in 2016/17 There were 8,564 in total [dunno Home?] for another midweek v Carlisle in 2010/11 when is was £2 to get in.
  20. Spot on. The Scholes saga publicly damaged him. The Wellens, Rhodes & Bunn saga's merely add weight to Scholes' public proclamations. He's [AL] attempted to refute Scholes' claims.... the Trust have openly written to him..... he replied [late] and offered to meet only after the season has finished. Season ticket sales are reportedly down. He appears to be gambling everything on the long shot of promotion to solve his problems..... as opposed to addressing the governance issues raised in the Trust's letter, which could solve his problems, regardless of on-field performance.
  21. Last 3 visits to Exeter, all in League 1; 2011/12 Exeter 2 Latics 0 2010/11 Exeter 2 Latics 0 2009/10 Exeter 1 Latics 1 Last time we won there Nick Henry scored the winner when we were in the Premier League. Last time we won there in the League, was in our 4th division promotion season in 1970/71.
