  1. I think Kuqi signed under the impression\agreement he would be starting every game. Without that I doubt he would have signed for us.
  2. Pretty much what LL said. Of course we've made mistakes and a couple perhaps have slipped through the net. You could name dozens more we haven't heard of since they left though. If they were good enough I'm confident they'd have been offered deals. They're on peanuts initially anyway.
  3. Better at finishing? Who bloody isn't in this league?! NIL.
  4. Concede on 90 at Stevenage then in your following game after 3 minutes at Rochdale. Then concede on 90 at weekend and after just a minute today. Does he tell them to concentrate? Two instances in recent weeks where we have lost a game having conceded a late goal only to immediately start the next by conceding again.
  5. Can we just remember as well that Corney said these players were starting to resent playing in front of small crowds. So he sticks an offer on and the crowds do rise quite a bit and how do they repay him? 3 defeats, a draw, a win and 4 goals. They're taking the piss. I'd include the management in that as well. At home from game to game we can be very predictable. The slow start as the opposition take the initiative, the lack of drive from midfield. Can we only play this pressing game with our first 11? Are the rest not good enough to run and close players down? Certainly seems that way.
  6. It's more the resigned acceptance of 'this is how it is' that gets me. We're stuck with it, there appears to be little any of us can do. The knocking down of the Lookers was an absolute disaster.
  7. That is his job though. Him, GT and our fitness coach/water boy. It is not a new thing it keep happening. It is a worry immediately after we get in front as you fear we will concede and lately we have too.
  8. We were awful today. That level of performance shouldn't be accepted against the top sides in the division let alone the bottom. The comment made about replacing missing midfielders with three teddy bears is spot on. Where has all this backing off :censored: come from us as well? Dean Holden was a big fan of running backwards during his time with us. It appears him being on the pitch today spread it to our players. Get stuck in before we're really in the thick of it. Brown can go back. There's certain things that aren't acceptable. Our manager preaches giving everything. I assume he means when thing aren't in your favour as well as times you could easily win a challenge and choose to back off. Why are we never alert when we begin and end halves? Watch each home game as we quickly end up on the back foot right from kick off. Not good enough.
  9. You'd be willing to tell him this face to face I expect?
  10. Got ourselves a clean sheet anyway! It was good to see Lee getting forward from right back as well. Now if only our strikers could have stuck away one of those chances...
  11. So Lee is still going to be at left back it seems. Great. He's a good threat going forward on the right. On Tuesday we played a side bottom of the league who we've managed to stick 6 past in the 2 games this season. How about letting them worry about us? Get him at right back. Dickov did all this messing around when he was trying to fit Clarke, Diamond and Mvoto into a backline without dropping Lee as well. Play him at right back ffs.
  12. With regards to him going to United, that was a rumour in the papers about 2008 time. Chelsea were mentioned as well.
  13. Kieron Lee at right back would be a huge boost for us and him.
  14. Clinton Morrison seems an angry chap. Really takes very little to wind him up.
  15. Crap. Had two in the first 10 minutes. Neither worked, knock it off. 80th minute and we're still doing it. Started the second half and got a throw down the left. Short throw and Taylor got a cross in which created a chance. Drop the idea, doesn't work.
  16. We should have gone for it from the start. Don't forget when playing top sides, we should roll over and have our bellies tickled for 90 minutes. Common theme among the top lot. I'd have expected Charlton like comments had we got a 0-0. There's always next season.
  17. Slap on the wrist if true. If guilty, life ban for those who said it. Case closed.
  18. Why? As has been said, remove all mentions of it. Some days we don't help ourselves. Can't we just get behind the team in the usual fashion. Cringe.
  19. It's a blend of experience from a higher level and a manager who has also managed at a higher level. You played the percentage game at times. It's a game within the game and you do it well. Nothing particularly wrong with it, more a frustrating tactic when effectively used. Some refs may help this ;)
  20. We did alright to a point. The loss of Mvoto seems to have been the problem. It was an enjoyable game I thought. Would have been interesting had Simpson taken his chance in the first half. They'd have had to really come out and have a go. It was not to be. Think we missed the Furman and Wes partnership again and will be glad to see it make a return on Tuesday. Reading the comments from some Wednesday fans I am surprised we even dared to show up. I mean how dare we compete with them. What a pathetic lot we even are for bothering to stand in their way of 3 points.
  21. It's not so unbelievable that they want more. The demand is still there for it. It's been said for years it needs to stop but there's no real signs of it doing so. I am not having that Chelsea have tightened the purse strings either. They spent around £75M this summer with the three main buys being Lukaku, Mata and Meireles with a few squad players thrown in to top up the total. Throw in Luiz and Torres at £70M the pair from January and I am not sure that just short of £150M in two windows is tightening the purse strings really.
  22. He does his shopping and washes his car. Walks the golf courses with him, stuff like that.
  23. Maybe not for you. There was some serious bother as we left the ground and made our way back to the coaches. Few on here were there as it happened. Anyway, United, City, QPR, West Ham, Blackpool, Wigan. Hartlepool as well.
