  1. Positives: Crewe lost. Coventry equalised vs. Chesterfield in the dying minutes. Things looking bleak, need a commanding presence at the back and get these school kids organised.
  2. I feel Dunn works best when he is given freedom between midfield and the strikers. He has done a lot of running for a 35 year/old player, but actually relying on him to is not ideal. He has to adopt a low risk role, where if he is out of position or covering someone else its not the end of the world because he wont necessarily get back to where he's meant to be. That said, i dont think he will pick himself. Coleman Dieng - O'Connel - Wilson - Mills Croft - Jones - Winchester Dunn Poleon - Murphy I'd expect Mills to get forward more often than Dieng and Croft would likely make more forward runs on the RHS. Dunn gets freedom of the width of the pitch and can support the strikers and wingers.
  3. If I was Redfearn considering the Oldham job, after hearing the bile the thick, mouth breathing caveman behind me was hurling at Kelly, I'd be having second thoughts.
  4. Holden can't cut it either. Find someone with bags of passion, someone chomping at the bit to get going and drag something out of these players who otherwise don't seem interested. The frustrating thing is that managers with experience are no guarantee of safety.
  5. Be interesting to see the manner of how he leaves. Is he being let go? Or of he walking out? Either way the guy never stood a chance. I feel sorry for the man.
  6. Agreed. He brings nothing new to the table. I suppose that would leave us with TP to take the reigns until we can find a replacement.
  7. Nice post. Its sooooooooooooooooooo refreshing to have been through a transfer window and come out with only positives.
  8. Sickener. We needed a win today for more than just the 3 points.
  9. Package tickets/deals i think is a great idea. Buy 3-4 tickets and get x% off. Those fans which buy 3-4 tickets anyway might get a nice deal. For others it might make them drag a friend or family member along to get the discount. That would be someone who would not have normally been there without it. Or maybe buy 3 home game tickets in a row and get a reduced price. Keeps fans coming and locks them in to the next 3 games. I don't go as much as i used to nor as much as I'd like. Simple case of not being able to afford - When i look at the day as a whole, I'm going to end up spending £60 on trains, buses, ticket, pie/beer/coffee.
  10. I suppose this wont include the Oldham fans who got into the Dale stands either. Really impressive.
  11. Does anyone think it has actually made a difference? I must admit it annoyed me a bit when the ball got moved forward half a yard whilst the ref had his back turned or the wall crept forward as the free-kick taker started his run up.
  12. Their fans crying every time one of their players fell over got a bit ridiculous. He absolutely should've been booked for diving.
  13. Never really had time to get fit for us, seems like a good player for them.
  14. Wasn't too impressed by their following, thought they would bring a lot more.
  15. There was a thread not too long ago about the negativity or defeatist nature of the old ktf slogan. It was actually some decent discussion about changing it.
  16. As long as the main stand is still cost-effective and functional (i.e. as long as the costs to bring it up to safety standards remain low enough) then i doubt we will see any change to it. Once those costs begin to increase due to structural degradation and the like we will probably see some progress to either full refurbishment or a similar situation to the Lookers.
  17. He also pulled it out against the run of play. Gave us a bit of enjoyment out of an otherwise poor result at home.
  18. I totally overlooked that they would be doing that. Shouldn't surprise me though, it looks like the planet Mars.
  19. Ahh, ok. Let's hope he sticks around and gives us another season.
  20. Cheers for the service Ron. Always kept him as my chief scout on footy manager because he had decent stats!
  21. I honestly think this is the best one we've had in a while. Any chance you could try 'this' royal blue with the central stripe and sleeves one?
  22. Wasn't he a bit of an idiot off the pitch though? Caused problems in the dressing room or on the training pitch?
  23. I'm impressed. So simple yet could really unite the team on and off the pitch.
