There are two things that will get to him: 1) The money coming in drying up - whether that's fans not renewing/attending, or sponsors pulling out - something I believe is already happening 2) Public embarrassment - we've seen this already with the reactions to the Daily Mail articles, and the response to the Trust setting up a fan's meeting

I think it's harsh to blame the players. The clubs are (almost literally) throwing cash at them. The cap on spending should come way down - clubs shouldn't be able to spend more than £xm on their wage bill, and for me, the x should be unrelated to revenue - hence stopping the big staying big for ever, and reintroducing some competition and challenge. Who can get the best out of their squad etc. I'd like to blame it all on fergie and his crew - for years their aim was to throw cash at the best player from their rivals, leading to a spending arms race. There are probably others who deserve some of the share too though, although they'll always be the biggest culprits in my eyes.

As I think people have said on here below, noises are that it wouldn't take much cash to get AL out - whether the consortium buying the stadium have enough for both, and to keep us as a going concern is another matter? Or maybe they're waiting for us to be put into admin first - that'd hurt a lot more people than just AL though, so they might not want to wait for it.

Exactly. Get the foundations sorted, and hopefully a bit of success to bring the feelgood factor back. A successful club will attract investment - see pompey with the Disney chap, and Swansea. Even Darlo at a lower level.
