  1. Thought they did via the fans meeting with Corney before the game. Not checked but sure some reference was made.
  2. You may be right but Morgan & Huth were effective enough last season just by remaining central, letting opposition have the ball out wide & winning everything in the middle.
  3. It's unpaid. Mortgages/ charges (such as this one) appear separately from submitted accounts. If it had been cleared, we'd have known within a few days.
  4. Is Wythenshawe abroad? http://www.pro-footballacademy.com/pfa-academy/
  5. Can't see him going & I can't see Corney wanting him to just yet. If he lets him walk then all of the focus will move back onto the embargo whereas it seems to be that relegation is something that SC is relatively more comfortable with (compared to his position a season or two ago) based on his comments then & in the recent video.
  6. Was our best player last night according to the Chron.
  7. Not sure there's less pressure. Whether people like it or not, because of the enhanced prize money on offer from the League when they were buying support for the changes to to the competition, it now represents the only chance for the club to generate (relatively substantial) additional income.
  8. AFC Wimbledon's reformation & resurgence in London (competing with many other bigger clubs) possibly shows that spending less time worrying about neighbours & just focusing on winning things can actually work.
  9. Robinson still in the dark as to when that will be. Although it sounds like he'd prefer to keep Burgess around, he's had to go back to Fulham so we're now hoping that Dunne is fit for next week. (Chron)
  10. Is it? I'd probably still take Sheridan because of what he did last season & he's John Sheridan but to pair him with another that left recently (& he apparently decided to leave before Johnson) would be a bit too much.
  11. Surely that wouldn't be the case and equally, the manager is bound to know given the impact it has on his job. The embargo will still be in place but, with others leaving, we will be able to sign one or two loan replacements.
  12. It may well be that there's nothing to be gained by clearing the enbargo until after today's game & the few coppers generated today might go towards it. On the other hand, there just might not be enough money to clear it & , far from being sacked, we'll actually be keeping Robinson against his will with each set of programme notes being a cry for help from the league's only hostage manager.
  13. I thought Osei's endeavour was decent yesterday & he at least was working their defence - thought he offered more than McKay at least*. Clearly some of his control needs improving if he's to develop into a real threat. * I appreciate that I'm comparing a poke in the eye with a punch in the nuts here.
  14. Some do (and I've spoken to some of them) whereas some seem happy at Latics. My lad did a couple of years at OAFC, which was largely positive but you don't have to look too far to get both sides of the coin from pretty much any academy. I noticed that Rochdale have a 14 year old that seems to be interesting bigger clubs to back up a good sprinkling of home grown talent in their squad at the moment but I'm not sure why that is. Although there's the occasional exception (such as Jaimie Stott), a good proportion of players that actually get offered scholarships seem to have spent a lot of their development elsewhere & we pick them up at u16.
  15. "Score some goals you useless :censored:s" would get the tone just about right for me.
  16. Don't they normally ask for help with removing them?
  17. I'd go along with that. It's obvious that the stickers in the squad aren't have anything like enough impact - even at times when the service improves, so adding attacking threat from elsewhere has to be worth a go.
  18. Inevitably someone would go along as a moderator and questioning would move on to allow as many people as possible to ask questions which wouldn't then be answered fully. Surely it's better is a few with very specific concerns can ask & press for answers on specific concerns with the whole thing filmed for public consumption.
  19. Genuinely surprised that those invited don't seem up for going in as it can be filmed for all to see.
  20. I've heard* that he normally sits on a throne but they dragged that chair out of a skip just for the purposes of that interview. * Leaked by Rochdale
  21. He seemed a bit raw and defensive but he's sold me on League Two. It sounds mint!
  22. Lots of, erm OWTB 'shout-outs' I believe is the modern day term here: https://youtu.be/AExn3FAkKbg?t=4m1s (Sadly, I think that'll just fuel a few egos)
  23. No idea but then I don't know where money raised from ticket sales stands in comparison to the purchase of a normal good or service and, as above, I expect that the football league have their own inadequate guidelines that govern all this anyway.
  24. It might well be but it happens in businesses all the time when cash flow is an issue. The only bills that will be getting paid will be those that absolutely need to be. The fact that the 'punishment' for late payment is a transfer embargo when we're outside a window is a flaw in the system that we seem to be taking advantage of. In the normal world, obviously the creditor would eventually go down a legal route to reclaim the money but I don't recall this happening between football clubs so maybe the FL tell them not to & we're happy to sit tight. Of course Corney will be hoping that the FA Cup will alleviate some of these problems (who knows what plan B will be) but I suspect that, all being well, as soon as Sunderland indicate that they wish to proceed with the rumoured Edmundson transfer at some point in January, money will be found to lift the embargo for the time being.
