  1. First: Craig Dudley (As a callow youth I thought of him as great alternative to Michael Owen in the England set-up) All time: David Eyres. Current: There's something about Jonson.
  2. I fail to see how talking about new chants on here is different to talking about new chants down the pub. With the exception of terrible ale making them sound better.
  3. Here you go. http://www1.skysports.com/news/12040/8216251/ Managers do it sometimes, other times they don't. Football.
  4. Went with my Spurs supporter mate to Wigan v Spurs in Feb 2010. Cracking atmosphere generated by the Spurs fans and I was delighted to watch them stuff Wigan 3-0. It's worth noting that this was also my first and only Premier League match.
  5. Well this is what I assumed, it was just notable that Johnson made a point of it and said that it was very unusual for Jonno, as usually his attitude is spot on.
  6. In today's pre-match presser Johnson says he was disappointed with Clarke-Harris's attitude when he came on on Saturday. Can anyone who was there shed any light on what he's referring to?
  7. Whilst the highlights are a little too short and the video quality is significantly below par for 2014 I still think LaticsPlayer is worth subscribing. The ~£30 a year isn't a bad deal for live commentary of every game. On top of that there's Johnson's Thursday presser every week and often one or two player interviews. It's far from perfect, but still a decent avenue to follow the club.
  8. Yeah, Bog Gord said on LaticsPlayer on Saturday that the MK pitch reminded him of ours ten years ago. I was actually surprised when I thought back and remembered what a sandbox it was back around 01/02!
  9. GF Plan Site Plan It stretches beyond the 6 yard area. It looks to me about 2000mm in from the extent of the turf, putting it around the dead ball line. Anyway the point was that it's not short enough to be extended. It could only theoretically be extended upwards or by adding a corner section, neither of which will be necessary.
  10. The plans show it extending to the ends of the pitch, i.e. the goal line not the extent of the turf.
  11. I think there's a bit of confusion here. The article says: That is grounds that are fitted with rail seats - such as Westfalenstadion - are UEFA approved but only when the seats are locked down, making the ground all-seater. Edit: Accidental quote.
  12. The seats are there to provide flexibility for the clubs. For example if the Premier League sanctioned the use of rail seats for safe standing areas, but UEFA did not, Premier League clubs competing in Europe would be required to use these areas in their rail seating form rather than standing. I'm pretty certain that the seats can only be folding up and down with the use of a key, so it would not be the individual spectator's choice. I would add to this though that surely if the Premier League gave their approval other major leagues and therefore UEFA would follow before long.
  13. I couldn't get my head round what he was trying to say. He seemed to suggest that we won't know they work until nobody dies using them.
  14. I'm delighted that these schemes seem to be advancing well. This sort of system could really add to the - I apologise - 'match day experience' in the future.
  15. I thought we already had a smoking area in the Chaddy End gents.
  16. As I recall one of the blogs said they are expecting the delivery of the steelwork sometime around February/March, so not too long at all.
  17. Tarkowski's loan has yet to be confirmed hasn't it? I've seen nothing on the OS today. Either way I'd stick with Wilson and Lockwood, sounds like they played well last week so no need to change.
  18. Against my better instincts I feel I have to stand up for the referee here. Wesolowski won the ball with an excellent challenge, but inexplicably had hold of the Wolves player's arm, so dragging him down as he slid. It was just stupid. The ref was generally poor (to both sides) but I found it ironic that this was the decision that riled the masses as I thought it was a good spot from him. Other than that Wes had a good game, he never gave anyone a spare second on the ball. He, Oxley and Harkins were my candidates for MotM, with an honourable mention for Clare-Harris, who worked his nuts off without anything really coming off for him. He was breathing out of his backside towards the end.
  19. This is where I am. His corners make me blue in the face.
  20. I read about loyalty payments in something by an anonymous pro last week. It was staggering really, it seems as long as a player refrains from handing in a transfer request he's more often than not due one. You'd like to think in this instance, with Rooney being referred to repeatedly as a good pro, he's waive that right.
  21. Latics 1-2 Wolves (0-1) Charlie MacDonald 4450
  22. Wes or Smith for me. I voted Smith as there's no need for change, but I'm just as happy with Wes taking the armband.
  23. I imagine the "home truths" and "constructive criticism" were along these lines.
