    Would like to see the new stand called the Jimmy Frizzel Stand after the manager who won us more trophies than any other (that's going to start an argument!) And when he comes to open it let him cut the ribbon and then present him with a paintbrush ...... the older fans may understand

    How does Roger Palmer view this chant? It would be nice to have his thoughts on the matter, and in the end maybe his opinion is the only one that really counts.

    I never felt comfortable singing, and therefore resisted, the oooohhh Roger Palmer chant. I clearly remember it started out as a racist monkey chant by some supporters soon after he joined in 1980 and slowly evolved into something that on face value was harmless. It would be interesting to hear of Rogers view. Don't get me wrong there is no doubt the chant was sung with absolute affection in the mid and later years, it was the origin of the chant I was upset with.

    First - Alan Young - though I was watching Oldham years before him. Surprisingly I was not a massive fan of Groves or Vic Halom like most people. All time - Andy Goram / Andy Ritchie Currant - Not seen enough matches in the last couple of years live but I like to hear that the Australian is doing well Special mention to fave players along the way - Irwin, Ryan, Wylde, Palmer, Wood, Blair, Quinn, Clements and T. Wright

    Memory is hazy but Warhurst got picked for England (but did not play) while at Sheff Wed as a makeshift striker. This was before he went to Blackburn. It was at Blackburn he kept on getting big injuries and started to fade.

    Marshall had a golden year as a mostly stand in striker during the promotion year but surely he must be classed as a centre back who Royle used to good effect when we needed an extra man upfront?

    OS not working for me Strewth it's a crap site even when i can get access, no way would I pay anything to that site, it would only encourage the buggers to think they were doing good. So can someone cut and paste the details or give us an update on the new stand please ?
