Sad news was a great player for us, one of my all time favorites .

Dont for the life of me understand why they bought Salford . They would have been better of buying Bury at the time , or even us. Anyways I expect them to get bored with it soon ,and Lim will start looking for a bigger fish to fry. From a footballing perspective they have miserably under achieved given the money spent on players during their time in league 1.

Bubble has well and truly burst at Salford . I wonder if they have reached the end of the road.

Crap atmosphere again at BP . Appears the same people are stirring up the negativity on here once again . Despite knowing as we all do what is needed , but cant be done immediately. Without minimum 3/4 new players we wont finish any higher than 10th . Mellon is not too blame and is stuck with a squad of unbalanced lightweights and a highly overated strike force excluding Norwood.

Always a chance with the weather , looks like the ref gave it every opportunity to go ahead . Cant believe it was called off because of one player , not saying you wernt told that . Its the referees decision I thought . Anyways only 3 other games on in the National league today.

Just out of interest has anybody watched Rochdale recently . The lad they signed from Chesterfield Jeserun Uchegbulam scares the crap out of every team they have played recently . Beats players for fun similar to Kanu at Barnet, we are short of a player who can do that amongst others. But Rochdale look a decent side at the moment. For me we are 2/3 of what is required for a play off spot. Unless we fix this with a change in some personel ,we will continue to be inconsistent. For me at present we are were we will probably end up at the end of the season 10th, unless we can make changes. Our midfield is way behind the top 7 and we need at least one full back. I am sure Mellon has marked a few cards and some players are on last chance . Yesterday a lot of the players looked knackered after 15 minutes . And I also thought Norwood looked like he was carrying an injury .

Sounds like he may have tried to loan out Nuttall . Who was probably one of the players whowouldnt go a few weeks ago.

Thought Maguire ran the midfield for them , and Barlow when he came on . Our midfield is still the big issue too many players who pass sideways ,back or hoof. Five wins out of nineteen is poor, but we are a poor side at the moment . More confidence in Mellon getting it right than the previous people but like he says it will take time . Also thought there ex Newcastle United centre back francillette was good.

Thought Eastleigh were half decent and tried to play football most of the time .

Halifax were interested in him a while back .

Matty Palmer would be ideal for us or a clone of him .But he is probably at the perfect club for him at the moment,

Heard he had a head inury which requires him to take time out . Just looked fishy before this was announced .

One of the main problems with Fondop is he tires very quickly and becomes innefective and gets frustrated with himself which is when he makes the rash tackles. I remember one game he played against us during covid he was totally unplayable for twenty minutes , I was thinking who is this guy but after his initial impact he just died. One number nine I did like around covid time was Swindons loanee Tyreece Simpson formely of Ipswich now at Huddersfield and on loan to Northampton still only 21 .

Latics lost a keen supporter this week with the passing of Brian Hilton when not playing himself he would attend matches frequently. I used to be pals with him at junior school and our friendship was renewed when we used to bump into each other around town.Had many a chat with him over a pint about latics and football in general, I remember Brian playing against a Latics side once for Blackpool reserves. He was probably best known for his time at Chadderton FC. To be honest I dont see a whole lot changing untill new recruits are brought in . The new manager bounce didnt last as long as the last one, but I expect Mellon to get it right . How quickly depends on who goes and who comes in and how quickly that happens. The last few games have highlighted our weaknesses , teams know what to do against us now. Be interesting to see if Raglan plays at CB or Mcgahey and if he perseveres with Sutton at RB .

The guy has a 46% win record with Tranmere over almost 200 league games .And 45% over almost 700 games overall. Nothing like Mr Unsworth OR Mr Thompson for that matter but good luck to both of them. After the initial bounce think Thomo was lost, which is probably why he has never been a manager before . So if Paul Murray wins at Altrincham you think he should be given the job. We needed what we have got , good experienced manager who knows how to win games at this level and the level above . Has an eye for players , wont take any shit , builds a winning mentality .And shows as much passion as the fans do. It also gives us continuity with regards to signing players , who wants to sign for a manager on a deal untill the end of the season who may not be here the season after .

To be fair the way some fans piss and moan , Some would say we are better of without any attending.
